Candy Darling looked amazing, in full makeup, on her deathbed. Diva! She rocked life and death, right to the end. She did it her way. 🍭💜😇🙏

In the late 1960s, the art and retrospect cinemas were showing the films of Greta Garbo, the originator of the cut crease eyelid makeup. College students who had either seen these films or photos began imitating Garbo's makeup technique. By the 1970 the “New Now Face” continued to be inspired by classic Hollywood stars. Also, the plucked eyebrow look was the rage.

Thank you for connecting the dots! I read in Garbo's biographies about these screenings and how she attended them incognito with Cecil Beaton, and yes, It would make total sense! ❤

so glad i'm seeing that photo at 8:40 b/c i'm going to have no choice but to do a big chop, and i've never liked the look of a bob on my oval face, also I have very curly hair so it ends up like a pyramid or a afro, but i am planning this time to dye my hair colors. I don't know why I never have tried a lavender or sea blue!! i've always wanted to.

thank you! You are so sweet with your lovely comment. I say: enjoy feeling beautiful and fanciful! And if there ever is a moment to enjoy having sea blue or lavender hair, it's where you are right now!
