@@H3llxelliso Well... it's hard to say. The Atlas Six is a collection of socio-political ramblings (also known as a manifesto) disguised as a contemporary fantasy book. I read the first two books and I'm waiting to put an end to the series with the last book, which I did anticipate in hopes that it would fix a story held together by mere straws and got on release. The reasons why I dislike it are MANY. But to summarise my criticisms, it comes down to Olivie Blake lack of balance when writing multiple POVs (most books like these might cause you to slog through POVs you don't like and breeze through the ones you do, but there isn't a single character I sympathised with or was intrigued by in this book, thus every POV was in some way annoying). The book also seems to want to make a narrative about sexual liberation being synonymous with women's freedom and feminism in rejection of a committed relationship, as one of the characters who we understand to be a powerful woman is a powerful woman because she 'knows her worth' and reclaims the objectification of women for her own benefit. I don't really see how that is feminist and not just another reiteration of the femme fatale men were afraid of. Additionally, the book criticises capitalism without really leaning towards an alternative form to structure our society/economy, which is strange. As far as the story goes it is messy and unclear, the dynamics between the characters is esentially just all of them hating each other, and that creates a problem because the book's thesis is to highlight how these characters will struggle to sacrifice one of their members as they become entwined and attached to each other, but the book fails to answer that because all of the characters would be content with each other's demise. There's more, but the first book for me was a slog. I find it to be funny for a couple of laughs as a writer filled with rage channels said rage through characters that are neither deep nor witty, just speak as if they rehearsed their lines a thousand times in the mirror. I wish Olivie Blake had just written a manifesto. But, well. If that's your cup of tea you'll like this book.
@@darkmatter9651 uhmm that sounds a bit messy and confusing to get a hold of the story idk i’m not planning on getting 2nd book just a go woth 1st one Thabks btw

Dalton's (by the end of the video) part is fire in the video man!!!
this is absolutely perfect!!!!!!! every scene matched perfectly the voice overs and the vibe of the book.
You need to direct this as a film
Sure enough I didn't like the book but you made it look like a masterpiece. Talent right there
Just got the book worth reading?
