Growing up in Milwaukee during the 70's was so much fun! We had the Brewers at County🏟Stadium🏟, as well as, usually, 1 pre-season game and 3 reg-season games for the Packers. I got to see my first Packers game live at County Stadium in 1974 or maybe 1975-76. It was against the Lions and we lost. But I was just amazed at the incredible experience that I got to see live for the 1st time! I LOVED IT! 😍❤😍😍😍♥😍♥❤ The 70's were a special time, and an awesome place for a kid to grow up! These TWIB, TWIF shows were so fun for me. I LOVED the Half-Time Highlights on Monday Night Football🌙 so much so I begged my parents to allow me to stay up late so I could watch the Highlights. It was my one opportunity to see the AFC games, or especially the newest teams, the Seahawks and the Buccaneers. It was awesome!
First to comment. Very interesting information in this Detroit Lions Chicago Bears match up. In the prior year 1971 Greg Landry quarterback for the Detroit Lions established a rushing record for NFL quarterbacks. However it only lasted one year because Bobby Douglas set the record this year in 1972.
Sad to see Duane Thomas (33) just walk out on the game. He was loaded with talent - could’ve been one of the great ones. San Diego making a mighty comeback vs Dallas. ‘72 was the year of the Dolphin. 🐬
Man this is so awesome living in Nashville tn Saturday morning cartoons nfl game of the week too Bobby Douglas was one tough dude love the old uniforms bud Grant said that Bill brown loved training camp
I was at that Redskins vs Jets game. I was so pissed off that the Jets could never achieve a winning season all throughout the 1970s when other teams simply embarrassed them in home games at Shea Stadium. I used to leave the stadium feeling totally let down. I couldn’t understand why the Miami Dolphins became so powerful and the Jets so weak after Super Bowl III.
Cardinals' Coach, Bob Holloway, brought some Vikings with him. Had Cuozzo as quarterback, Jim Hargrove at left linebacker (#60) - and that was ex Viking defensive back, Dale Hackbart, (#49) putting the hurt on Eagles' Poe James (#27), on the swing pass here. Jets were very competetive, and especially tough, defensively, in '72. I think they went 7-7. Rams wore the blue at home. Bright, classy jerseys they'd rarely used, back in that era.
The second half of the 49ers-Packers game and the entire Redskins-Jets game were not televised, because of a strike by the CBS technical crew for better pay and working conditions.
Great music,
great fiming and commentary
Miss the old rams unis!!!

That would be 968 yards for the season
I got my first full size official Wilson NFL football for Christmas that year emblazoned with Greg Landry's name on it.

he was a nasty racist bastard that was way over rated....
And apparently, Duane Thomas was on strike against everybody.

Po' Po James.

Joe Namath throwing a pick 6, he's 3rd all-time in that category behind Brett Favre and Dan
Nice
Thomas wanted nothing to do with playing that day!!!
Riggins vs Washington
Those old straight on placekickers just look so pathetic now. Hard to believe anything over 50% was once considered good.
Get me some chicken today.
