We played terrible all game but yous were the better team but when we went down to 10 men yous could've scored about 3 or 4 more goals against us but a well deserved win for your team today
Totally agree as a celtic fan, CJ is class. Very similar to our best Quinny who disects the game and gives insight into tactical info on the team.
I thought Rangers did well after the send off ok we went two up and were still celebrateing when dessers scored and after that i thought the ten men gave there all for there team the boy Macausland got into a great postion twice and just didnt have the experince to play the final pass ,and the guy sterling i thought he was superb in the game

It sums up the squad this season that our second choice right back has been better in nearly every outfield position than the players who play there week in week out.
Sterling isn't the most gifted player but he has more drive and determination than the whole outfield players put together.

I'm a Celtic fan but I'm not here to gloat. It's got to be worrying for you that Celtic have won this title because we've been poor this season, no doubt about it. We only really started playing in the last 2 months & i worry for our game that uz can't strengthen due to financial constraints. @@owensy54321 You want a competitive league. Rangers almost single handedly got us in to the top ten coefficient table, meaning we got the automatic CL spot. That is going to disappear in 2025, and there's no chance of us regaining it any time soon cos Celtic never do anything in Europe.
You's have actually benefited for the (including next season) past three seasons with CL money. After next season it will be back to the qualifiers, meaning the league winners get less money (cos they often get knocked out in the qualifiers) and then the league gets weaker as Hearts etc don't get group stage football any longer.
So maybe stop being so short sighted with your gloating. You'll be back to Europa League group stage football soon enough and the whole league will get weaker with less finances.

Cantwell not coming off the bench, Lawrence who’s better coming on from the bench played most of the game as a holding midfielder, meanwhile our best holding midfielder who’s actually a right back, came from playing at right wing to go be a centre back and actually did better in all those positions than the people who are actually supposed to play in them, don’t worry though we have subs to strengthen and fix all this mess, let’s put on “young” and inexperienced McCausland (who is actually around the same age as Diomande and Yilmaz) and future Turkey sensation Scott Wright…and we wonder why we give away cheap goals all the time and can’t win titles 🤦♂️
Cantwell would have done nothing as usual. We need raskin, sterling and diomande as midfield 3. Cantwell would have been just as useless as Lawrence.

for the cup final. Butland of course. sterling at right back it's time to make those type of decisions and drop player's who just haven't been good enough which includes the captain . the 2 CB for me the combo should be. Balogun and then he should be paired with Davies. i know a lot of people dont like him but golden hasn't been good enough to justify and Souter as you pointed out always has a mistake plus we do need to start playing natural left footed CB. Davies to me can be good if he has the likes of the Balogun next to help or maybe we start introducing and developing some of out youngsters in the academy. midfield picks it self. Raskin and diomande. the attack cantwell in the middle being the 10 as for wingers...none of them to me stand out to be certain picks and dessers up being the striker because roofe just can't do 90 minutes...Now for the transfer window this is where the amount of backing Michael beale got, clement need to get the same or more backing now to me we need a complete over all, a couple signers in the defence, midfield and attack which means tav needs to get replaced. cause it just isn't working. As the players in this match there is only a very low amount of people that i can give props to. Butland does Butland thing's and comes through once again, diomande sure he didn't get to do much but you he had to have good players around to allow him to do that but at least he seemed to care. constantly chasing the ball, unafraid to put those type of dirty challenges. somehow a guy that i haven't been here for a full year understand and known's what the old firm means to the club and fans than some of the senior player's. to me sterling is captain material brave, Powerful and when the time comes up to put your heart, soul and demanding other players to step up when the majority of the team isn't doing that is what the captain should be doing. while tav is just playing it about, needs to take every throw in. doesn't go in for the tackle. most set pieces is the same swing it in at the back post and waste the majority of them. can someone please step up and tell him to start doing something different. plus we need new tactic's which are built around the new player's and hopefully those player's and tactic's understand to move their legs and make runs when were attacking. for me this game perferctly sums up that if we really are going to play desser's we need to pair him with a striker and maybe start having dessers play as a centre forward. for the new pleyer's we need to start sighing the right players.
CB- needs to be strong, aerial threat and has pace.
full back- essentially more people like sterling
CM- more people like raskin and diomande that has energy, willing to out the tackles
ST if it would be the lone striker or playing with desser's- someone that has pace to you know...make runs in behind the defence which would be great with desser's ability to hold up and out of nothing knock it on

Honest appraisal as ever. No excuses. Four times we have played them in the league and one point says it all. For the cup final we need pace and the midfield has to function. Raskin and Cantwell must play along with Matondo if fit. But we go in as ever with expectation that on the day we can do it so we will be there and we will be backing the team.

Another great video CJ! Absolutely spot on!! Can I just ask, why are the press core, in their post-game interviews, not more to the point with their questioning of Clement? Why that starting lineup? Why those substitutions? Why the unconditional support of Lundstram/Tavanier/Barasic? These are the questions we, the fans, want answers to! Where was Tavanier today, as captain, marshalling the forces? It was just all so bloody weak and pathetic, bar Butland, Sterling and perhaps even Dessers, today!
Great analysis as usual. Totally agree. Raskin and Cantwell are our 2 best midfielders. The key area is up front though. It’s another season we’ve gone through with nothing up front.

When Tav goes to Saudi (hopefully), I would make Sterling captain. Also needs an improved contract and extension.
Huge difference between a players quality and leadership quality.
Not in defence of Tav but Sterling is a young boy, we're still not even sure of his position. He doesn't need his progress poisoned by the pressure and criticism that comes with being our captain.

Celtic fan here. I feel like Clement should take full responsibility here. No Cantwell all game is a terrible decision. Also feel Roofe should have started too. Maybe there is disagreement with Rangers fans on this opinion but i just feel he picked the wrong starting 11 today for you guys. Had Matondo been fit i think this would have been a different outcome entirely.

Have to agree with you he picked the wrong team to start, I know he never used him but Cantwell doesn't make a good sub,whereas Lawerence is, Lundstrum can't think or run fast enough for Old Firm games and has to go, Dessers is fckn hopeless, we never won one ball in the air until Roofe came on, the guys a kidder, gives wee runs, if you can call it that, to try a look as if he's trying fckn hopeless. Barassic is continually caught out of position and couldnae tackle a fish supper, all of this and he has Ridvan sitting on the bench watching thinking I'm sure, I have to get away from this! Clement makes subs too late and when he does make them leaves you scratching your head, honestly got caught up in the hype about how he's changed them since he came in but beginning to lose faith / trust in him tbh!
Honest and to the point CJ, we really don't have players with a winning mentality to grab a game by the scruff of the neck and get us over that line.

I’m a Lyon fan but it really saddens me to see Rangers looking like this. Lundstram did make two terrible mistakes but they’re just hiding a bigger issue here. How can Celtic make a bunch of Asian players look like they grew up in Dublin with how much intensity they put in, yet Rangers players again felt like they were playing in a friendly, not a derby, let alone a league-deciding game. It’s mad when I know how passionate all of the fans are. I’d say the problem comes from the staff though. Rangers need a Bielsa-like coach, who wouldn’t be afraid to take risks and add a little craziness to ignite the passion inside the players. I feel like Clement wouldn’t drop Barisic and Tavernier if they layed on the pitch for two hours and took a bloody nap, because “it could make things worse”. So why let him be lonely and helpless and not bring Wright and Roofe sooner, who could bring more explosiveness in such a scenario! I believe the right coach would have done that, because they would rather lose their job on the spot than not go down fighting. Because they’d understand what it means to be a Gers. Passionate CJ, accurate to the set plays and individuals. It must have been difficult to hold back. Bottom line we have mediocre players who most are taking big money. We have lost buying power due to lack of financing for next season. We let Celtic off the hook and as a result we loose our season and league title. Players need a long hard look at themselves. Gutted not on loosing the league but on the way we lost it.

Mate ave been thinking the same thing now and am starting to have my doubts about Phillipe Clement. Everyone keeps blaming Michael Beale but losing to Motherwell and Ross County and drawing with Dundee certainly wasn’t Beale’s fault. If we lose the Scottish Cup Final to them then i will really start thinking that he isn’t the man to take us forward.

Quite honest description of the game. From a Celtic supporter at the game I agree, in most, what I witnessed, although it’s a penalty and a Red card. Was pleased to see the selection on Barsic, Lundstrum and Davies although granted the later played well. Certainly not gloating here just credit where credit is due. Playing fullbacks in midfield doesn’t work,and never has despite us trying it on many occasions over the last 30 years I have been watching. You might get the odd good game but it never works because it’s basically just another defender in the team and the attack suffers.
Jack is more of a leader than Tav. I can only think of one game were I seen Tav shouting at players to Gert moving
Mate, to win that game today we needed to be brave on the ball and fight and press when off the ball. As stated its just another hard luck story. Team ethos will have to change if we are to overhaul them and get back to the top. Absolutely gutted yet again.

Clement has taken over a team of bottle merchants and done a remarkable job, he's not the problem it's the players who constantly underperform when we need to stand up and be counted.
