I thought South Sudan was gonna upset the Puerto Ricans in that first game. But, they finished 3-2 in the FIBA World Cup, punching their ticket to next year's Olympics, and in the new FIBA rankings, they jumped 32 spots from 63rd to 31st. They're not called the Rising Stars for nothing. Becoming an independent nation in 2011 because of their own civil war, bunch of refugee camps. It did not stop former NBA All-Star Luol Deng from building a basketball program giving back to his home country.

Hopefully Bol Bol plays this summer. They got stuck in the hardest group, US and Serbia. They'll have a chance against the winner of the PR Tournament, probably either Lithuania or Italy
