In this series, I will record Arban exercises in a “call/response” format for anyone to play along with. I will record some exercises at various tempos, all indicated in the title. This is inspired by the need as a teacher to provide quality demonstration to students digitally, and I thought it might be useful to others.

The Arban Conservatory Method for Trumpet (available for free on IMSLP.org) is the closest thing to a “trumpet Bible” that we have. It is comprehensive and has nearly everything a player needs within its covers to become a fine trumpeter. In this series, I will endeavor to record the entire “First Studies” section to be used by students of any level.
