When I was five I had a junky Radio Shack detector. I always since then wanted to have a top of the line detector. Years later in 1994 I purchased an XLT. That was a very nice detector that gave me no problems for 27 years, but then I sold it to upgrade to the V3i. Then White's went out of biz before I did. 😢 Knowing what I know now, and the way I detect anyway along with my experience using my back up Tesoro. I could have just gotten a Classic II back in 94, and still would have been a happy camper. But that XLT was sweet though. 😀
I have this old Whites, that being said everywhere I look these days it’s all Nox’s left n right! Everyone and their mother’s got one! Specially on UA-cam, so they aught to be in fact decent machines..
@@danluther1741interesting!!! I have a Whites Classic 3 plus in absolute MINT shape with the 950, and it works great, however I am not getting good depth out of it what so ever! Even my kids Ace250 beats it in some things when it comes to depth. I’ve been thinking whether to do the upgrades and mods on it, particularly the Power one so it runs hotter and deeper, OR whether to just upgrade to a Legend, as they are really making some waves these days as well.. Thoughts?
I’ve had two Tesoro’s and loved them! Now I have this exact machine with the stock 950 Coil. Factory setups sucks, it doesn’t go deep at all, but otherwise a great machine. I just wish I had more depth. Would you recommend doing the Mod? Thanks
Nice, Love my Old 3D on old Bronze, but my F75 is good too"...My first MD was a Whites 5000D.....Haha....Push Button Re-tune and no pin-pointers back then 🙉 Thanks,,,very interesting"👍
I have a stock Classic 3 Plus, would you recommend modding it? Or leave stock? I’ve never modded them (other than adding Bluetooth Headset) and am pretty happy with it, compared to my Ace250 and 150. Thanks

Give me those sharp, sweet tones of a decades old analog anyday over the wharbling flute of a nox!
Would you take a Whites Classic 3 Plus over a new Nokta Legend for example???
@@meals24u nope! But I might take a 6000 di pro sl.

@@danluther1741thank you for your response btw! Appreciate that
There’s a lot of old analog machines that work well still today. I have a blast using my old Tesoro’s just plain fun!

Curious how the F75 would do with a concentric coil. Thanks for the video.

Do you have a video on the power mod?
Another informative video----thanks Keith.
Is the 950 coil waterproof?
Yes I believe so! 👍
So this was what the snooper coil went on...
