I have the AZ526 (52X zoom with EVF) and it is pretty amazing especially for the money, the AZ526 uses a 16mp CMOS sensor and Iove the results, nearly always better than I expect, so thanks for the review, I might just buy one of these
Although the az 901 is the best of the astro zoom cameras it's big flaw for me is the weight to Comfort of use as bigger cameras are heavier cameras and are therefore more uncomfortable to use I found that it's better to use bridge cameras that weigh around 1 pound or less and the best model that falls into that category in the astro zoom collection is the 425 which gives you a times 42 zoom and the 528 model is also a fairly comfortable model to use even though it weighs slightly over half a kilo but gives you a times 52 zoom for a little extra money than the 425
I mostly shoot birds and animals... And once in a while the milky way or the moon is this have a long shutter speed to be able to do photos of the night sky?
i have the az651 its 65 times zoom plus 260 d-zoom i whant to get this one in the video and yes u can add lens to it its just not many to buy and no need to take off the les thats on it
Nice try, :-) at least the first basic impression. You shot them on P (not manual), P is automatic with the ability to change settings but they were not changed. That AF which you experienced is hunting (lot of cameras have this), can be changed if continuous AF is off (do not know if that setting is present), Like to see some more photo's in different settings. Is this possible.? Aperture priority, shutter priority, ISO fixed options to max.200, if spot metering is present and a lot more :-) but like set since it is the first basic operation to find , keep up the good job .
dcb103 thanks a lot for your comment! I’m still learning some things on camera stuff. And I’ll try to make a second video asap, but don’t know if I’ll be able to beacuse this needs to be sent back unfortunatly. But thanks again for the input. I’ll remember it for my next camera videos!!
No problem :-) Just make a lot of photos before sending it back and upload them to me with wetransfer (or similar) so I can check them would be awesome (day, night, closeups). Thanks in advance. :-) and goodluck with your channel.
I'd imagine it'd be the same as any other smaller sensor 20mp sensor camera in low light, eg either use a flash or high iso, slow shutter speeds. Being a 20mp sensor and a big zoom its clearly aimed at people wanting to use the zoom feature in good light, this allows for a bit more cropping of the image. They could have made a slightly brighter lens but it'd have added to the cost and size. I'd have preferred a 16mp sensor to slightly improve on its low light capabilities, the trade off being not being able to heavily crop " zoom" into image further. But you can't have everything and there always has to be a trade off
Adrina The Great listen up I’m trying to get a job for jkimaging May have interview soon need some suggestions major things i think would work image sensor size needs to be bumped up a standard hot shoe and mic jack over take Nikon for the longest zoom camera in the world get Schneider kruzech back in the fold make the auto focus better similar to canons dual af tracking and go after Sony’s a7 and a9 series for the low light having a full range iso add weather proofing and shock proof literally bridge the gap between DSLR and point and shoot and adding edge to edge touch screen and updates for the camera for atleast 6 years regularly with ultra 4K at 60fps shooting video and super slow mo and time lapse mode and make this theoretically Too legit to quit and have a 28.5 mp for 800 with a metal frame with AZ901 size for the az1000
Akhyar Rayhka I read, a few years ago, that Kodak had ceased making cameras in 2012.....but I guess they made a LOT of them! Amazon, as of right now, say they have 20 of them left, with "more on the way.""
I have had my kodak AZ528 for 5 years. I didn't know they made the 625, or the 901! I want one of them!!! I want a nice DSLR! The only DSLR I have, is this crappy Canon SX10 is. And the image stability is a joke!
You just convinced me to stick with my super Nikon B700....Image from the Kodak are soft, unsharp even in the video.... Nikon B700 all the way. Good review by the way
Obvious troll here since he has the exact same comment in two different video reviews of this camera. Well troll, which video convinced you this one or the other one? Obviously both couldn't be the convincer as you suggest.
See some snaps by a guy who knows how to use it. I think they're .jpg straight from the camera so RAW should be better. www.flickr.com/photos/jimmccarthy/with/44850735864/
The guy said the camera is well built but not kind of Chinese plastic. It seems he does not know Kodak cameras are made in China. Young guy like him can utter racist remarks without blinking an eye, perhaps he is born racist.
Okay, calm down a bit there. I’m not racist whatsoever. You just pulled this completely out of context and twisted it into something racist. I said ‘chinese plastic’ because a lot of products are made in China - which is a fact. And a lot of these products are plastic - which is a fact. I don’t care if it’s China or US or Europe. Next time I’ll say ‘this product is made from plastic components coming from somewhere in the world’. Or would that be a ‘racist remark’ towards the world? 🙃
I got into photography back in the 1980's using Kodac and Kodac Disc. May have to buy this since it's a Bridge Camera.
That’s a nice zoom for photos of airliners high in the sky ✈️
Wonkabar007 indeed! Pretty cool
What plane, where is that in video???
Looks perfect for a birdwatcher, too!
You called the memory card microSD, but I do believe that is a standard SD card you placed in the camera.
just got one to replace my canon, the more i play with it the more i love it,fantastic zoom and very user friendly.
Can I ask you, is there a 3.5 mm
microphone jack on Kodak? And what about Canon, why did you want to replace it?

@@redferret why do you sent it back?
Thank you for this review.
thoughts on the low light capabilities of this camera +redferret
Hi! Pretty good on manual settings, on automatic settings not that good.
@@redferret whats your usual settings for low light

Focus Stacking ?
How big is the sensor? Not how many pixels, but what's the sensor size?
It's like a cheap phone. It's a waste of every dollar on this pseudo camera. I feel sorry for the people who buy it.
@@seastianat that price, this 1 2/3 sensor is pricey. But the az405 or 401 is a good deal for a bridge camera under 200$
👍
How to clamp the polarizing filter?
Just bought one, keen to see how it performs using RAW files. £279.99 off eBay 0% over two years = bargain.
I dont know they still made camera
Kodak sold their camera line to another company and are making new cameras today

Can this camera recording fhd video in 50or25 fps?
It records video at 25 FPS as written in the discription
Have you tried nikon p900? If so, which one is more stable on max zoom?
P900
Nikon Coolpix P950 is giggling nearby.

Good view from your window. Where is that, roughly?
Can I use this for recording art videos?
Hi. How it work in low light?
Not so good in low light as it has small sensor.

Nikon B700 all the way.

the b900 is the one to get, it's 80x zoom. it's a nice camera but it's big. I own the B700 but it's not get the nice lens like the B900 has.

I'll stick with my fz1000 as I don't need that much focal length, if I need more I'll use my Fuji sl1000 16mp 25-1200
Video background recording blur ?
This is my dreams camera.
Goat: imma gonna eat all these grass and puke, ma boy can't see me.
Boy:
Certainly RTFM.
How much is it
It's like 440 euros
In lithuania its 200euros
That's an odd question when you have access to Google.
Wow you moved it a lot when testing
B700
If you do the maths this is only 65x optical zoom not the 90x that they claim
This an old camera. Anything new that has the same zoom
