This is probably one of my favorite songs of all time. Everytime I hear it, I feel a profound sense of peace and serenity, but at the same time, deep melancholy. When I close my eyes and listen, I see worlds falling to ruin, astronauts staring into the vast expanse of unexplored space, endless void consuming reality. I see kingdoms falling, and new ages rising. But at the same time, I see gray and rainy afternoons, cozy villages and warm faces. It's such a polarizing yet perfectly welcome slew of feelings, all brought by one song. Thank you for capturing lightning in a bottle!

my grandpa left on april 28th 2022, so two years ago today. he was 66, and left because of sickness. when he left i was in the middle of rehearsals for a musical i was doing, so it's as if my grief had been kept deep inside me, as if it had been delayed, and when we had finished performing the musical and the whole adventure was over, there my grief burst. and the more time goes by, the more memories come back to me, little random moments that, at the time, don't seem like much, but which are now moments I long to relive.
