Like I said my family was right. I would never spend such a ridiculous amount again or have all the fancy partying either. Married simply in church or the courthouse or anywhere....with a nice family cook out for a reception....just relax and have a good time without it costing a fortune. Use the money to buy a house instead. That's what I would do if I could go back 40 years.

Yeah. I don't get it. It's a dress you wear once. I paid $65 for my wedding dress (a white prom dress I got on sale after prom was over. I stripped all the ruffles off, added minor bling to the bodice and added straps, as it was sleeveless. My entire wedding I did for about $500 and it was elegant. Did most of the work myself, decorated myself, and the majority of the money went to food and flowers. I can afford much more, but not sure why I should. If guests didn't like it, too bad - they can pay for it. I think society has severely lost touch with reality if they think they need to pay thousands for a wedding dress. Use the money to buy a house or start marriage debt free. THAT's a gift that keeps on giving, not a wedding dress.

Your presentation was disappointing. The photos didn't show the dresses very well. In fact, some were only the top half og the dress. Although you don't promise background, some information regarding who wore each of the dresses along with video or photos would have been a great addition.
