I think it must be just an editing oversight, but this video demonstrating how to set up the Mares Stage/Deco tank improperly implies that the dip tube should be removed from the valve for stage applications. In my opinion, this would be incorrect as the stage bottle cylinder is often inverted toward the valve, more so than backmount cylinders. If the dip tube is missing, debris from inside the tank is more likely to settle against the inlet hole of the valve and cause a restriction in the gas flow, possibly causing an inability to breath from the stage cylinder. The dip tube should remain on the valve inlet, I see no need to remove it in order to place the neck O-ring.

I agree with you. It's nonsense to remove the dip tube.
