Made your big batch pizza dough today, along with three iron skillet pizzas and a few cinnamon sticks, and a small garlic and cheese bread; all from the same dough recipe! They were delicious! My family loved, loved, loved them! Thanks so much for sharing this great recipe and how to's!
I bought a cast iron skillet JUST to make this pizza after seeing your video. Since then, I’ve watched several of your videos. You have some great videos out there. Excellent and easy recipes. Keep it up!!
Thank you for your kind comment! That cast iron skillet will last you a lifetime and will be used over and over again! You are reaching for it for lots more than just making pizza I imagine!
That's a fantastic crust. I love making pizza in an iron skillet it turns out fantastic. Shelby is an awesome person. I adore her. Thanks for sharing this
Holy cow this looks amazing!! I'm definitely gonna make this ASAP!! Wow! You're just awesome! Thank you so very much for sharing. As someone on a disability budget now after many years of working my tail off, I'm always trying to find ways to stretch my dollars. This is super easy and inexpensive! Double whammy! Again, I thank you and God Bless you and yours. ~Lisa
Wow! Finally tried this tonight and it was fabulous. I made your big batch pizza dough as well as your homemade pizza sauce and they were excellent. I used two round cast iron smooth-topped griddle pans and made two pizzas for my husband and myself and they turned out perfectly. Your idea of making pizza in cast iron is brillant, and your dough recioe is the best I've ever tasted. The addition of olive oil to the pan helps to. create such a crisp, delicious crust. Thanks, Noreen! I'll never make pizza any other way!
Just made iron skillet pizza following your dough recipe...it REALLY is that GREAT...Thank you, Noreen, for sharing your cooking skills...you and Rick are such a blessing :)
Hey Noreen, I made the iron skillet pizza today....I make pizza on Fridays, so I was looking forward to today, to make your pizza!!! LOVED IT !!!! Thanks, Jan, in Indiana
I hope everyone will attempt to make their own pizza from scratch. About 4 yrs ago after being downsized and living on unemployment, pizza became a treat of the past, with a nice tip it was very costly. I now make my own spicy meat sauce that is killer and also do a white pizza that is outrageously delish with NO meat. At one time if a pizza didn't have pepperoni I wasn't interested, now that I have made my own I love it. Now you can have pizza without blowing your food budget. That was some amazeballs pizza Noreen.
nothing like homemade pizza, but I have never tried it in cast iron I heard that it is really good. Now I know that is true Noreen after seeing your scrumptious pizzas. I cook with nothing but cast iron.
I know this is an older video but I am getting a refresher for your pizza dough. I did not hear you say what temperature you baked the pizza. Hope you are having a great day! I have learned so much watching all your videos and you do an amazing job!
I have been making homemade pizzas for a little while now since it costs us $52 for 2 large pizzas. But mine sure don't look like this. I can not wait to try this.......like right now!!!!! Yumm. Noreen, you are the bestest
Oh man, these look fabulous! I've been making my own pizza for 2 years now and REALLY don't like any pizza that is store made. It really is so easy and fast it's no problem to have a pizza night from scratch. Thanks for the inspiration Noreen! :-) The Mrs.
That Looks Amazing!! I'm Going To Make This ASAP!! Thank You So Much For Sharing All Of Your Great Recipes With All Of Us You Make It Look So Easy!! :D Have A Great Night
Awsome!! I'm getting ready to make a spinach artichoke mushroom and maybe a little chicken with garlic sauce pizza,in cast iron. The only thing i did different last time i made it was i did preheat the pan.But i like your way better!! So thanks for sharing.
Looks sooooo good!!! I can't wait to do this and impress my family! I don't have a pizza stone though. Is it absolutely necessary for that beautiful crispiness?
Hi Noreen! These look great! I was just wondering, which did you and your family prefer better this skillet pizza or your regular hand toss pizza you put directly on the stone?
I like the idea of coating the mushrooms with olive oil. It makes a lot of sense. I also got buy2 get 3 free. Since I live 10 minutes from the NC border, I imagine we go to the same grocery. They also have good prices on reduced fresh veggies.
Noreen ,do you notice any difference in the two pans, taste or texture, thank you , enjoy your videos, my husband doesnt take much interest in any of the other cooking channels I waych, but he likes yours
Only purchase pieces that are made in the USA. The one's that come from China can have questionable materials and are substandard in quality. With cast iron, you get what you pay for. Look for old pieces at yard sales and flea markets and I always check Craig's list on a regular basis for people who are getting rid of theirs. Best way ever to get it. Even if it is not in the best shape, you can rehabilitate it.
Noreen's Kitchen You are so right about getting only made in USA. I have read reviews of skillets coming from China and breaking into while it was being used. Having seen a few of them, the material doesn't even appear to be real cast iron, it almost seems porous. Ebay is another place to find old ones.
Great version! I have to watch sodium, sugar and fat thanks to organ damage I got in Afghanistan but I miss that New England style Greek dish pizza. With only a few modifications I recreated a healthy version of my favorite pizza in Connecticut. Thank you! A tip on semolina flour - if you are out of semolina flour, break up some uncooked spaghetti and put it in a Ninja or processor and zap it till ground. I also mix it in with homemade breadcrumbs .
The one thing that keeps me from making my own pizza, is that I can't get the sauce right. I'm looking forward to your pizza sauce video. Thanks for all your help in the kitchen!
TBH I just use Prego. I run through those from Costco, and I find they taste great, and I always have a little bit left in the container after making spaghetti. If you squeeze in a bit of tomato paste, it makes it a bit more rich. But honestly Prego isn't offensive. It creates a nice pizza. I love a homemade tomato sauce but it takes like 8 hours to boil it down. I learned to just use Prego for everything and be done with it :)
cbraga773 No, I'm sorry, but you are mistaken. I do usually get a chance to answer folks who ask me questions. It is a Bialetti, however I purchased this at a local grocery store. It is available on Amazon.com however. Thanks.
OMG I hate mushrooms but that pepperoni and mushroom pizza made my mouth water! I generally use a rectangular baking sheet but love crispy crust so I'm going to give my iron skillet a try. The only place my son and I ever eat out is the local BC Pizza (northern Michigan) which is a buffet. It's all you can eat with a great salad bar, pizza, beverage, and even dessert for $5.99 each. They also have a punch card so every 8th buffet is free! The pizza is really tasty so I don't mind taking a cooking break and "splurging" there (which if you knew me, you would know that $13 for a meal for two is way out of my frugal comfort zone). lol
I do sometimes. But I will admit that I need to get better about that. Do you think it is more beneficial if I always do it? What do you feel are the benefits to the viewer of using annotations? I seriously am asking this question, because I am always striving to make my channel the best it can be. Your feedback is important to me. Thanks in advance for providing an answer.

We enjoy them both ways.
Just wondering are you teaching your daughters to make all this delicious food?
Great way to use my cast iron...cane wit to try it😄
Thanks for the comment!

We always make pizza in our iron skillet. It's fantastic this way. ;)

Yummy, looks so good. Can you do a how to make a deep dish pizza video? Love all your videos!
can you link to the queenscabinet pizza video...I can't find...tried your recipe last night & it was wonderful!
I can't link to something that isn't there. Looks like she may have taken that video down. Sorry.
The one thing that keeps me from making my own pizza, is that I can't get the sauce right. I'm looking forward to your pizza sauce video. Thanks for all your help in the kitchen!

This looks so fantastic. All that's missing is parmesan butter on the crust.
I want a Sausage, Garlic and Onions!
I enjoyed your vid!
where oh where did you purchase that pizza cutter? Please share... delicious
It's a Bialetti pizza cutter. I think I recall her saying someone gave it to her and they had gotten it from Williams-Sonoma :)
cbraga773 No, I'm sorry, but you are mistaken. I do usually get a chance to answer folks who ask me questions. It is a Bialetti, however I purchased this at a local grocery store. It is available on Amazon.com however. Thanks.
Noreen's Kitchen Oh, okay. I must have mixed some things up or confused you with someone else.
loved the home alone reference haha! great video :)
Looks so good!! Drooling like Homer Simpson!:)
At what oven temperature do you bake the pizzas? Thanks.
Thank you. I watched the video twice but somehow must've missed her saying that. :)
OMG I hate mushrooms but that pepperoni and mushroom pizza made my mouth water! I generally use a rectangular baking sheet but love crispy crust so I'm going to give my iron skillet a try.

Hey, I would just like to know why you don't use annotations at the end of your videos?
Great videos, by the way.
I do sometimes. But I will admit that I need to get better about that. Do you think it is more beneficial if I always do it? What do you feel are the benefits to the viewer of using annotations?
