I’m a child abuse survivor, estranged parent, a combat vet. Yet I am truly that sheep you described. My Shepherd has made it to where I shall not want. He gave me a home with green pastures and running waters. He is restoring my soul he is leading me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Though I deal with depression and anxiety and walk threw that valley, fear is not my focus anymore. Yeshua is now my rod and thy staff and they comfort me. Now I am able to care and eat at that table with my mother that is responsible for a lot of the trauma in my life. I feel his anointment of my head with oil. And my cup truly overflows when I am able to help others. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful message.
Jesus I seek you even when I feel like giving up yet Im keeping faith. As a single mother. I’m struggling to make ends meet. I have no one to turn to but you Lord JESUS. Both of my sons have special needs and require so much from me. Lord I’m afraid. Every month I struggle trying to provide for my children struggling to pay rent and to buy groceries. God you have provided this far. Lord hear my prayers.💕

Psalm 23 has perhaps been made too familiar to us, it is deeper and richer but we don't have the context of it because most of us don't work with sheep or have any notion of the relationship of dependence. These books reveal how much we are like sheep unfavorably and favorably so, but more importantly how blessed we are to have a good shepherd at all.
