Generally good information, but all purebred Haflingers trace back to a single stallion called Folie, bred from a 1/2 Arabian sire and a Tyrolian pony mare. (Never heard of Josep Folie). The Haflinger height standard ranges from 54 inches to 60 inches. And while all Haflingers are various chestnuts, they also carry the 'flaxen' gene which gives them a white, or silver-flaxen mane and tail. They are wonderful small horses. I've bred Haflingers for more than 20 years.

Such a beautiful breed! I go for Equine Therapy there is a mare named Tilly I love her it’s where I learned of this breed.
I think their the perfect breed for me bc they Average 13 hands and they don’t have the normal pony body type (shirt sunny legs fuller bell )
