This is why wwe needs mid card titles for the main roster for the Women
One for each brand would be great
An object isn't going to give her character development or make a wrestler more intriguing. It's up to the creative department to do this.
@@backup368 True, but some of them have already established character work and still rarely get to hold the world belt. One of the benefits of a mid card title is to gauge if a superstar is worth pulling the trigger on for a world title run. Ie. Gunther

@@backup368 No, but it' hard to build women for the main titles because there isn't a mid card singles title to build them up; like the men have. This is why we only have the same 4 or 5 women fighting for the titles.

Nice guitar rift to start off the show. Omg so much space in your new room you can have a live band performing in the background! The lead singer needs to have hair long to the floor so he can shake it every where. I figure by the time you finish your new set up he could have grown it out. I'm so excited! 🔥
Lyra will definitely become a star on the main roster. I could see her being in the finals of the QOTR and possibly winning because that would be a great start to her main roster career
Lyra is great in ring and can definitely hold her own in a match. However, Lyra feels like she’ll fall in the same hole Shayna and Zoey Starks fell into. They wrestle well, but then what? She’s not great on the mic and her character was lacking substance even in NXT. It’s why I think Kianna and Blair are gonna connect easier than Lyra. Again, great worker. But I think her character and mic skills are gonna hurt her more than people think.
Well, she at least has a stronger gimmick than Shayna or Zoey, cause their gimmicks are js “we are two bad people and if you mess w us, we will kick your ass” but Lyras gimmick is more “im a bird, i love birds KAAKAW” sarcasm aside, she has a very defined gimmick and personality, and I think she’ll go far.
Comparing her to those two is definitely an overstatement. She is far better on the mic and in ring. They don’t let her play with the Celtic mythology character like they did in nxt uk. Some of you should really watch her nxt uk promos/matches and work from there in general.
Lyra is leagues above Shayna or Zoey in the character and charisma department.

I liked the way she and Dragunov debuted...Lyra running down and doing the "wtf" motion to Liv then right into the match. Dragunov with the heater match vs Ricochet. Not the "omg I'm on Raw you guyz dream come true blah blah"

Ever since Damage control arrived its always something with them against Bianca or Becky, everytime. im even shocked they running it back again now that bayleys out lol
Lyra had a lot of great character work in NXT UK but the audience for that was even smaller than NXT. It seemed when she came over to the US they did away with a lot of the darker elements of her Morrigan character and made her more relatable. I like her character because she walks the line between being virtuous and evil. I would see on NXT where she was smiling one minute but then as soon as someone tried to take her kindness for weakness you would see her darker side. For example when Cora Jade called her out she told her she would rip her eyes out if she went near the title. When Jacy Jayne talked about her behind her back she told her she doesn’t play games. Her offense is very unorthodox and she reminds me of how I felt when Rob Van Dam came over to WWE in 2001 and was doing very innovative moves.
I'd like to see Rhea and Lyra be cool together at some point. Not saying they need to tag team but they give off a similar energy.

A midcard title (even if it’s just 1 title shared between brands) would do A LOT for the Women’s division. The top of the card stars are way too protected and most mid card acts like Shayna, Raquel, and Zoey will probably never be presented as legit threats to them.
A mid card title can allow them to have good feuds and present them as legitimate without just feeding them to Rhea, Charlotte, and Bianca. Maybe even help elevate some to that level.
going to be fair, I don't watch NXT or follow it at all... I really like Lyra on raw. I hope to see more of her. Her beating Dakota helped a lot! lol. I hate Dakota and most of the remaining damage control... except Asuka... lol.

I think the introduction of the Women's NA title on NXT is a test to see how fans react and how much demand there is for a secondary women's title. If it's successful, I'm sure another women's title will be introduced on the main roster. The goal should be having one per brand and also tag team titles on Raw, SmackDown and NXT, but we're not quite there yet. I think more women will be developed into bigger stars and in a couple of years that could happen. Right now I don't think it'd work. It's hard to be patient when we've been conditioned for years to short storylines, start and stop pushes and whatnot, but Triple H doesn't work like that.
@Assemble my biggest problem is the fact a lot of the European wrestlers are on timetable’s because of them not being born in USA but I hope the best way to get her over it have be an underdog
The hardest part is going to be connecting with the audience we know what she can do in the ring if we do see Lyra and Becky I think it’s a good launching point for her
Hopefully Lyra does big things on main roster. We all saw the end to the match last night look a little iffy like someone botched the Nightwish. Hope that won't happen frequently
I get so anxious when wrestlers I like get called up. For every Tiffany Stratton there's always a chance of a Karrion Kross (someone who just can't seem to get out of the mid card no matter what they do)

PLEASE don't kill Lyra on the main roster...She is amazing! I would love if NXT-stars would actually get their NXT-runs acknoledged and built upon...but I'm sceptical. NXT is genuinely fresh and interesting and I'd hate to see all the up and comers getting just smushed together into the bland environment of nothing which the main roster can be for many midcarders.

The match was good but Lyra doesn't have much of a character, even on NXT she hardly had a character. In her storyline with Tatum, even though Lyra was the champion; Tatum was definitely the standout between the two for me. Mostly because of her character work, she does a great job at bringing her character to life. Lyra is just too bland for me.
@Assemble the biggest problem with having a woman’s mid card title it would take away time from guys like dragonnove and other better men’s wrestlers have their time cut because of this witch would make it an morally gray area

I think wwe needs 2 mid card titles a us title and ic title. I would love more proper tag division so u could have 2 tag titles. The womens roster is stacked and most their matches are better than the men. I do get only 1 set of tag titles whilst there is not a huge tag division

Ik im gonna sound stupid for saying it but with the amount of talent vying for a spot maybe a new brand.. and im not talking about speed or another nxt. I mean full on big brand.

I think it's harder for Gimmicks to get over these days. Gone are the days of the character wrestlers like the Undertaker, Mankind and Kane.

Tbf with triple H I started watching more nxt it's more of a mainstream show now being in the draft etc nxt feels like something big and not just developmental.
They need more woman or tag team tittles for the women division

I don't have confidence. In Lyra Valkyria's first appearance, they aired no vignettes that describes who she is, she bickered at Liv like she knows her, even though it was her first day on the main roster, and during her match, they aired a movie trailer, because there was no other 15-second spot on the show for it. Other matches like Zoey Stark vs. Ivy Nile should have been just 3 minutes long.
They gave Lyra a very cool vignette leading up to her coming out to help Becky and before her match with Dakota. It was a bummer they aired that stupid Planet of the Apes ad during her match though.

Lyra is NOT IT. The match on Queen of the Ring was poor and she somehow even botched her own finisher. She had a boring character on NXT, a boring moveset, and isn't even that good in the ring. Can someone please explain why people like her so much
She’s really good in the ring idk where you got the assumption that’s she’s not and then in terms of character work she’s new to the roster so obviously she’s hasnt gotten over with the fans yet

But am I super into her not really but she’s a fresh new face that has a good amount of potential if built up correctly because she’s already good in ring which a lot of women arnt

The only reason she's being pushed is because she's irish and we all know triple h loves irish wrestlers.
