tbf the second game i didn't see the mate and i'm 1300 rated, but for me to be 1000 rated i would advise the following 3 -5 mins spent doing puzzles to get better at pattern recognition and time management 1 game and regardless of result do a game review (Even if you win the engine might show you how you could of mated your opponent quicker or an opportunity you didn't see to remove a piece. It is better to play 1 game well than to play 3 games win 1 and two of them you don't understand why you lost. The postive i can give to you is with each passing game you did play better, however i would focus not on the amount of games you play but the quality you play games with and reducing mistakes by asking what does my opponent want? When you understand this you will easily become 1000 rated but for now just focus on beinbg a 900 as theres quite a jump between 800 and 1k
The most insightful and helpful comment I’ve received so far on this series. Thanks for the advice! Game reviews are actually one thing that I’ve been doing more of recently. Definitely also agree with game quality over quantity.
However Jeremy Silman’s “The Complete Book of Chess Strategy” is a really good intro book to learn the basics of openings, mid game, and end game strategy
Bro as usual you never push the pawns in the centar not a bad game for ratings Happy New Year
