Please explain the abstention from eating blood and the relationship between not taking blood in the hospital. My sister would die before she took blood to save her life. I thank you for all of your wonderful presentations which really help me as a teacher be able to conduct my Class. I am praying for you and your wife and I’m thankful for any progress that she’s been able to make. 🙏🏽💕🙏🏽🌺🙏🏽❣️

Yes there is a big difference between those two Gladys. Leviticus 7:26 gave a specific command for Israel not to eat blood: "Moreover ye shall eat no manner of blood, whether it be of fowl or of beast, in any of your dwellings." The Old Testament referred to how life is in the blood. But using blood to preserve life, as in the case of a blood transfusion in the hospital, etc., is not "eating blood." In fact, one might say it is at the very purpose of blood: to give life! I hope if your sister (or anyone else) needed a blood transfusion, they would accept the gift of life that it would offer. Of course, all of this points to the blood of Jesus as the source of the ultimate gift of eternal life! Praying for you and your class this week as you prepare for Sunday! And thank you so much for your prayers for Cheryl. She is taking small, but good steps forward every day this week!

The Word tells us we are “one flesh” with our spouse. So I know you hurt also. Been there several times with my husband. My phrase to survive is “ God is in control.” God bless you both and all the caregivers.

Shawn if you could give me your email or text I would like to tell you what God did for me during my wife’s stroke. I actually live in League City and am a member of Parkway formerly FB PEARLAND. I can tell you this don’t get discouraged, things might seem to get worse for a little while, but better days are ahead. One other thing God will never leave you by yourself.

Thank you Mike; I'd love to hear your testimony. My email is: pastor@fbcangleton.com And amen on God not leaving us by ourselves. In fact Cheryl said that a song that has become even more special to her in this time has been: "Never Once" by Matt Redman. ("never once did we ever walk alone ...")
