Dr Barbie you are so cute. You certainly know what helps people remember the information presented. When researching to care for my senior beagle I learned that there is always more than one cause for cancer in every being who has to deal with it and it makes sense because it is a complicated disease. I also understand there can be a primary cause in many cases. I'm very thankful to learn about this stuff from you. Not only because because because you're adorable but also one of the most knowledgeable and caring people who teaches about these things. Thank you

Your video reminds me of a chemistry professor who said that while certain chemicals were considered safe, no one has ever studied whether mixing them in the course of human interaction would change that. It always stuck with me.

Dr. Barbie, I'm so thankful I found your channel. I'm learning so much from you and grateful for the education you provide. It's disappointing that our gov't and pharmaceutical industry will suppress information for their own best interest. A big thank you to Dr's like you who present the truth on all sides. I do my best to live a healthy lifestyle but, like many others, the fear of cancer is in back of my mind when regarding HRT. I look forward to your upcoming videos on breast cancer and I hope you address if there is any connection between breast health and Iodine. I've heard compelling evidence and just ordered Dr. Brownstein's book, Iodine: Why You Need It, Why You Can't Live Without It. I've definitely gone down the rabbit hole of trying to understand this health issue.

I have secondary osteoporosis. I was put on Forteo about three months ago. About a month later, I began having bone pain throughout my body, but never in two places at the same time. My husband joked that it means the drug is working. I went with that, although there was a part of me that felt uneasy. A few weeks ago I had another blood test. It showed the development of Hypercalcemia. Synchronistically, the next night I was watching your video on the Hormonal medications to treat Osteoporosis. In it you warned that you CANNOT be on this drug if you have a high blood calcium level. I could not get a hold of my physician (who in three weeks time, had not reached out to me about my results, or to advise about what the results would mean for how we were attempting to treat the Osteoporosis). I called the pharmacy and all they could do was confirm that the literature on the drug supports that one should not take this drug if they have a high blood calcium. They said that I would need to decide for myself whether I should go ahead with my nightly injection. I didn’t. I have since seen my rheumatologist and am having a Nuclear Medicine Bone Scan tomorrow morning. I am very scared. I didn’t have these problems before I started the Forteo. I had a DEXA scan a little over a week ago, right after learning about my Hypercalcemia. My rheumatologist didn’t think a DEXA scan was necessary, so I contacted my Primary Care physician and got a referral from her. It’s a good thing that I did this, as it showed that - in the past YEAR alone (I had one in August of 2021) - I have lost -6.1% on my “Left Femoral Neck” and -6.0% in my “AP Spine” - and -7.7% in my “Left Total Forearm). That’s just since the scan I had in 2021. Clearly, SOMETHING is going on. In addition to the whole body bone scan, I have an appointment to meet with an Endocrinologist on November 4th. My husband wants me to see the Endocrinologist before scheduling a consultation with you. PS: I do like my rheumatologist as a person. I believe that she has the potential to be a great doctor, but she is overworked and overwhelmed, as she works at a large hospital chain rather than in private practice.

      Annie,
I'm sorry you endured all this!
It's precisely the kind of thing for which I do one-on-one consultations. You definitely need one. I cannot tailor things specifically to you in a comment box. It requires much more information than you can give me here, and you deserve much more information than I can give you here. No two women are alike, and addressing your situation requires tailoring all the facts specifically to YOU. I do them all via video conferencing. You can schedule at MenopauseTaylor.ME. I look forward to meeting you and helping you.

You inspire me to learn about the history of cancer! Are there any good sources on this topic that you would recommend to us? (Not too “dumbed down” would be my preference.)
I had a conversation with a friend once, where I brought up my impression that cancer rates seem to increase and I’d heard that it was much more rare a few hundred years ago. She argued against this, saying in the past people died and the cause was often not known or investigated - that autopsies were not done like nowadays…. I thought she perhaps had a point.
Thank you for this video! 🌸

I had a friend who's husband passed away too early. He had cancer. He was getting radiation and kemo. It worked for a while but the cancer came back too soon. He was a guinea pig for some new trial medicine that the drug company was trying to put out there. Long story short, the drug company failed to let the patients know that this new trial drug could cause leukemia. After being on the new trial drug for his cancer he died one year later of leukemia. It was sad that he passed away too soon right before the pandemic incidnet.

Where do I begin? It all depends on the particular cancer.
In the upcoming units on (1) Uterine, (2) Cervical, (3) Breast, and (4) Ovarian cancers, I will give you dedicated videos on how to prevent each.
