Well I liked your video on the gas cap I just got a 66 today do you have any suggestions how to get the cap Off I cannot get it off I’m glad it has a full tank I guess the first thing I need to do is probably disconnect the cable inside the trunk but I cannot get that cap to come off
Jerry. First thanks for checking out the video. Additionally some after market gas caps have locks on them. But if yours is a factory one it should just twist off. It could be rusted shut so if you think it is a twist off cap I'd suggest getting a big pair of channel lock pliers and seeing if that will help break it free.
Thanks for the reply I ordered a new vented gas cap as that’s what the local mustang hot rod mechanics around here said I need it since I just have a straight tube going down to the gas tank no vent line inside or anything also we did have to get a pair of channel locks it appears that the gas cap is partially broken because the part that goes in the grooves and twists on is very loose and what they did was a twisted it about a turn or a half a turn past when the running horse is vertical or horizontal should I say so I’m just getting a new cab
Good stuff
Thanks man! Careful with that bumper!

The yellow mustang is a 1967
dude keeps referencing the"'66 mustang"; which is clear
ly not a '66. Look at the tail lights, Ford didn't do the concave lights until '67....
haha your so right I totally missed that. Have to get better are keeping my years strait.
Ummm why are you calling your 67 or 68 convertible a 66?
