Love the P30 pro camera but the loss of stereo speakers and the fact that its a curved screen makes this a no no for me... Curved screen is just a gimmick and a pain to find good cases/screenprotectors.
When it become obvious from leaks and renders that P30 Pro will have curved screen, I went to store and buy myself a P20 pro for bargain price. After dealing with Samsung Galaxy S7 and then S9+, i dind`t want to deal again with curved screen and I wanted Huawei because of larger batteries. I wasn`t totaly happy with fingrprint sensor beneath screen but when I see a crappy performance of in scrreen sensors, it doesn`t bother me any more, it is fast and accurate and main reason I went on Huawei, battery is great, I end my day wirh 20-30% left, with Sammy I had to recharge in late afternoon.

huawei has amazing hardware, but the OS leaves a little to be desired :( my dad has been using his mate 20 pro and XS for the past 3 months, but the mate 20 pro because of its curved screen causes accidental touches from the palm. its the single biggest annoyance that made him consider huawei at all.

Protecting case we use is Ringke Fusion X Blue, it gives very good protection and it looks awesome in its togetherness : ) They have the case in black aswell. We both like our phones and case's, so if you want protection and good looking to meet, than this is it!

The cards are easily available from amazon uk for about 40 pounds for a 128gb card , you can also buy them from other retailers , the cards work great and are in the mate 20 pro , mate 20x , honour v20 , p30 pro and maybe more phones Being able to expand your memory for 40 pounds is a nice option even if it isn’t the most widely available card option etc

Looks like P30 would be my choice. Smaller size, flat screen, headphone jack are deciding factors for me. I can do with the slightly inferior camera hardware over its Pro sibling.
i got the p30 pro.. and its nice phone.. do download adb toolkit and remove powergenie. without doing that overytime you turned screen off for a bit your phone will through powergenie turn brightness back to half brightness.... after 3 weeks of constantly turning brightness back on full ive ripped out powergenie and voila now when i turn off automatic lightstrength and set it to full it stays full brightness . powergenie is toooo much meddling and ive not encountered any battery problem since i uninstalled it via adb
The presenter's English is not that enjoyable to English speakers. I would prefer they find a native English speaker in the European manager team to introduce the phone instead. There's no point to have been copying the way that Apple presents their products since Steve Jobs many years ago.
Those headphones look really cool. But that 4k footage looked glitchy af. My Note8 is smoother than that. Maybe something weird in the settings or was the lighting bad?

I'm a music guy too, currently have 600+ gig of flac and sacd rips on my notes but I never use the headphone jack. I stack my note 9 with a topping nx4 dsd which drives my dt1770 pro easily.
I usually don't like colours on my phones, but that amber sunrise or whatever they call it looks fantastic to me! I love this device. Saw some other reviews as well, where they talked about the zoom features in the camera... Just mind blowing. Big fan. :) Loving what's happening to smartphones now a days. One moment you think that the design and features are getting saturated, and then such phones keep popping up. Great times to be in this tech community.

I hope the camera on this is better than that on the mate 20 pro. The processing on that phone was horrible, colours were so so off and compared to Samsung and apple it just couldn’t stand up straight, it was a let down since it came after the P20 pro which was pretty good. Hopefully the P like just gets it right again unlike the mate
The regular P30 does NOT have a periscopic camera for the zoom. It's basically identical to the 3x zoom camera of last year's P20 Pro. Only the 5x camera has a glass prism.
Got my Huawei P30 3 days ago in EU and noticed one suspicious behavior on the idle phone, even when I'm quite far, and there are no moving objects near the phone - it would display the fingerprint icon on the black, idle screen (rendomly at a time interval of approx 30-40 sec). While it is not a big deal, I am wondering if anyone else encountered this? It happens regardless of the phone cover (I have a standard, original huawei silicone car one but I tested it without the cover as well). I have also disabled face recognition and all functions related to it without any effect. The phone is great - it's just this thing that makes me wonder if the screen is not too sensitive, and how to disable that icon

i went p30 pro.. wanted the mate but p30pro with 256 was wayyyyyy cheaper then mate 20 pro with same memory size.. if that was not the case and it was same price id have gone for the mate because of more pixels in the screen... higher res

Got my Huawei P30 3 days ago in EU and noticed one suspicious behavior on the idle phone, even when I'm quite far, and there are no moving objects near the phone - it would display the fingerprint icon on the black, idle screen (rendomly at a time interval of approx 30-40 sec). While it is not a big deal, I am wondering if anyone else encountered this? It happens regardless of the phone cover (I have a standard, original huawei silicone car one but I tested it without the cover as well). I have also disabled face recognition and all functions related to it without any effect. The phone is great - it's just this thing that makes me wonder if the screen is not too sensitive, and how to disable that icon

No headphone jack? I'm sorry I really don't see what the problem is! Most laptops these days require you to have a dongle to cope with your number of attached devices. Why is it such a big problem for those who like wired earphones for their phones?

i went p30 pro.. wanted the mate but p30pro with 256 was wayyyyyy cheaper then mate 20 pro with same memory size.. if that was not the case and it was same price id have gone for the mate because of more pixels in the screen... higher res
This is why i love samsung. they dont do compromises. If only they had included the headphone jack in the P30 Pro, then it would probably be more convincing, the P30s battery and internal storage are rather wanting

for a camera guy....may be.... for a normal user...nope, nothing special other than camera i think. no Headphone jack , 1080p display instead of 1440p, no stereo speaker, no 4k in front camera
