    Developers get off scot free while the victims are left with just bills and no water . All the red tape with none of the regulation , either the officials involved are criminally incompetent, criminally negligent, or just plain criminally involved .

    All 140 people collectively stop paying the water bill. That will wake up several people. $ is always the best motivator. Next step file lawsuits against everyone you can. (Class action) then, stop paying mortgage. After all, …. the homes are almost worthless. Live there for a year for free and file chapter 7 BK.

    This was brought up 20 years ago and several times since, but the voters in that part of Colorado just didn’t seem to care about any regulation so this is what they got. Now all of a sudden they want some regulation.

      They did try to do something about it in 1979, and it partially worked. But, now, try to get hold of 13th District case file 79CV97. It has been destroyed, buried by the officials so that everyone would forget about it, and not learn how to fight them next time.

This is not a shortcoming of democracy, but rather a failure of individuals who have been duped by others seeking power and wealth.

      Because if they don't, the system can't pay the electric company that supplies power to the treatment plant, and they will cut off the power. Then 48 toilets won't flush any more. BTW, I run the billing system and infrastructure for this community, free of charge, so that water bills won't go up even more. AMA.

      all places that you have a utility service in place, you are unable to stop that service. SO its either pay the bill you get or don't pay it and let it go to collections that put massive fines and damages your credit and in some cases the home would then be red stickered (put a no occupancy on it)

      Oil companies and mining companies are literally exempt from clean water act
      In fact after exhausting a fracked well the oil companies use the abandoned wells to dump industrial waste with no accountability

    Find an attorney who will setup at trust for ALL the residents to pay the current bills, hold that money until a system is installed or till you reach enough to just buy a system. Just fight it out in court and take whatever you can from them, put liens on EVERYTHING.

      If you don't have water running to your house, your house can be condemned. This can lead to you being forced out of your house, and if you have kids CPS can take them. Also, toilets smell real fast without water.

    Unless you're a licensed hazardous waste operator, you can not buy radioactive waste . That kinda ends the water bills. Contact the EPA at the Federal level , and let the people selling hazardous waste to the general public explain themselves in Federal Court.

    They make reverse osmosis systems with membranes that can filter out radioactive particles. This could be fixed but the county doesn't want to make it right.

    There were far too many people that the developers, the county & other government agencies failed here. The agencies didn't tell them, because the people would have RAN away from the area. The state should have to refund everything these people have spent & at the minimum, prosecute the developers, real estate agents, banks & all government employees that were involved.
