They balance each other really well. Liam feels everything with ferocious intensity, and Theo struggles to feel at all. I think vicariously experiencing Liam's emotions was helping Theo access more of his own, and at the same time Theo's lack of emotional response helped keep Liam from doing something he'd regret. Theo probably scores pretty high on sociopathic traits, but in the 6th season the writers made a point to show that he isn't actually a sociopath. Maybe a better diagnosis would be that he has emotionally disassociated to protect himself.
I just noticed that after Liam ran to fight the Ghost Riders in the hospital Theo looked at him and started trying to fight off his chimera. His chimera wanted to protect Liam. LITERAL SOULMATES.
They loved each other you could've tell it their chemistry were incredible no doubt about them loving each other no matter how many times they said they won't do anything to each other but their chemistry were too strong for them to hate each other, It's silent love they didn't have to say anything about love they knew it. Thiam will always be real feelings. Awesome ability to love.

But then after going to youtube and seeing the comments of people saying they would love them as a couple and that they shipped them together, I didn't really understand. And then I went back to rewatch season 6 and realised like: 'omg! How could I miss it'. They have so much chemistry. I think the reason I didn't notice it was because, I never thought that they would ever go for it and make them a thing or make them more then friends. But I definitely ship it! Very sad cody wasn't in the movie
