Located just outside Port Antonio on Jamaica’s north eastern coast is this stylish villas-only property oozing relaxed elegance. Not many tourists make it to Port Antonio. More fool them, for ‘Portie’ is Jamaica’s most scenic spot - all picturesque beaches, buzzy jerk shacks and jungle-coated hillsides. The Trident enjoys an enviable location, less than a 10-minute drive east of the Errol Flynn Marina in Port Antonio proper.

The legendary Rick’s is an easy (and safe) 20-minute stroll away but, Rick’s aside, there’s isn’t really anything within walking distance - so you’ll need to drive or take a taxi to reach the famous Seven Mile Beach, shops and Negril’s nightlife.

You’re slightly away from the busiest and most touristy parts of this coastal stretch, though loud music from the nearby bars still carries day and night, disturbing the peace somewhat. The famous Rick’s Cafe is a seven-minute walk away if you fancy popping round to watch some death-defying diving over a drink.

Right at the top of Jamaica along the north coast, about 36 miles of Montego Bay’s Sangster International Airport and just minutes from the cruise port in Falmouth, the Royalton White Sands fronts a pretty crescent of a beach and a calm and sparkling lagoon.
