Land of the Babes and Time to Kill were alright. Fond childhood memories of those, but I do agree Zero Hour blows them out of the water. Pity about the frame rate (Especially for those like myself that dealt with PAL at 5/6ths the speed) and the lack of music though. Incredible game.
@@Spystreak Yeah, I know. Even with what we got now, it manages to be better than the official DNF. It just goes to show that Duke Nukem has one of the best modding communities around.
Just fix a few bugs and optimism it and would probably be fine. Don't even need to change the graphics. There's usually issues when they add to much new texters and set pieces and don't edit the path finding of NPCs or don't change how the the play can interact with the environment anyway.
Still to this date one of the most badass theme songs. I remember as is kid if any of the level songs freaking me out using debug mode and this always got me through the stage.
I want a modern remake just so I can play with something besides an N64 controller and save without a controller pack. Proper 2 stick control would probably make this the best Duke Nukem game besides 3D.
No joke an actual achievement. As a kid it wasn't until I hit early teens that I could figure out where to go in some of these levels. Maze like, no checkpoints. I loved using the sniper rifle in this game. So badass. SQUEAL PIGGY
*pistol shot. Pistol shot pistol shot. Swaps weapons. Shotgun pump. Bang pump. Bang pump* "Damn Monsters are scaring away all the good lookin babes damnit."
Who else had trouble beating that water world level? I couldnt find that damn door to proceed with the level lmao good times man I must’ve been like 7 or 8 when my dad bought me that game back in 99 at the mall.
Mess with the best; die like the rest! I was hoping i'd get some head. "It is our destiny to take your planet Nukem. It was prediceted in the stars!" "Wanna know what I predict? PAIN."
This game works well with mouse-aiming on a emulator. Wish I played this game back in the day, having a blast playing it now. If an upgraded version was released now on PC I would totally spend 15-20$ on it.
Is nobody gonna comment on how close this almost sounds to Grabbag? I love both, and it seems like these two songs go hand in hand when it comes to classic Duke Nukem tunes.
Que triste es escuchar este song y extrañar tu nintendo 64 y ponerte a jugar del diario Duke Nukem U.U espero nunca muera y nunca se olvide este grandioso juego!! El mejor!
It showed up so shadowy and dark on my TV I couldn't see what was going on! Also it sucks that there are no save points in a lvl...but aside from that its a good game with a good theme song!
It would be cool if they made a Duke Nukem collection Legacy Collection for the switch that has Duke Nukem 64 Duke Nukem Zero Hour and the other day and you can games like Duke Nukem whatever and Duke Nukem Forever Duke Nukem Bulletstorm
The beat and just the tempo sort of sounds like kurt cobains ol band song, called “Fecal matter- bambi slaughter” get past the first part he 2nd part sounds like this ina way.
Multiplayer was insane in this game!
This song is ALWAYS in mine and my brother's head! We grew up with this game!
same :P
same here :) Heck I even used to play the original duke nukem 1 and 2 on dos before 3d came out.
Same!! Love this game and song!
fucking love this. i used to get in trouble as a kid for spending 10 mins on the title screen instead of playing the game
Why tho?
yeah what why would you get in trouble for not playing the game lol
@@nihil7647 probably thought that he was wasting power by not playing the game

Epic game.
A Must Have on N64.
L'indie Gamer I agree whole heartedly! Fun times

I'll take your clothes, your boots, and your horse.. ahh forget the horse
Yes and the saddle too
Forget the saddle ile just take your life
Definitely love this game. One of my favorite games for the N64. It is a better Duke Nukem spinoff than the other two that were on the Playstation.
Yep.
Land of the Babes and Time to Kill were alright. Fond childhood memories of those, but I do agree Zero Hour blows them out of the water. Pity about the frame rate (Especially for those like myself that dealt with PAL at 5/6ths the speed) and the lack of music though.

This was Duke Nukem Forever to me. It still is.
Very this, it is criminal that it didn't got a pc release back in the days
Duke Nukem forever 2001 restoration project looks promising
@@Spystreak Yeah, I know. Even with what we got now, it manages to be better than the official DNF. It just goes to show that Duke Nukem has one of the best modding communities around.
Fr, ppl act like we never got a sequel to Duke Nukem 3D, it's right here
Imagine a zero hour remake? Actually nevermind 2k would probably screw it up but a man could always dream...
Hell if they just changed nothing except put better graphics, i'd be happy.
We can always let the fans do it instead

Best game growing up
My Childhood right here. Hail to the King!!

I'm actually playing this game I grew up with. So many great memories ! I love it.
"Pig nuts roasting, as I open fire!"
Give me you hat, your boots and your horse .... euuh, forget the horse ..
Yes, win, epic win.
This theme song does weird things to my throat.
It was summer of 2001, went into a Virgin records store in NYC and they were selling this game for $20 brand new and got it.
Oh, Duke, I knew you'd...come
I want this game to be a remake
Fuck yea that would be awesome
i'd rather see an Eduke32 recreation of it. Recreate it in Duke 3D style.
I want a modern remake just so I can play with something besides an N64 controller and save without a controller pack. Proper 2 stick control would probably make this the best Duke Nukem game besides 3D.

anyone who can play this theme on guitar is cool in my book.
I think this theme is more badass and fits more with duke nukem than the others (wich are more known)
Technically, this is just a remix of Grabbag. It's crazy how much Lee Jackson did for this version.
Definitely the best version.
@@RosieSapphireMusic Lee Jackson didn't create this version.

Emulator, save anytime you want.
If only they ported it to PC as well, that's the only flaw to such a sweet ass perfect game as this one.
buy a 20$ n64 controller with n64 emulator with game. Feel the same seriously :)
THAT GUN IS COMICALLY LARGE.
No, because they're already out there if you search.
Hes Texan.
the game was and still is awesome. but with music like this why press start to play?
Too bad they never actually made the guns of the artworks into the game. They always looked fantastic.
