    Wow, that brings back memories. Worked in 4 Shop for about 6 years, 1979-85. I mainly worked on the milling machine in the far corner where the meter lab was in the Commutator Section. Clive Ford was the Chargehand, along with Dave Cox, John Mandeville, Stan Wright, Dave Holland, Big Tony, Ian Wright, and Foreman Pete Gresham, etc.

    good god. this is great. be nice to have that cutaway peak there. suppose it got binned though. tragic destruction, you can feel the history through the screen. thanks pal.

    my grandad use to work in the Meter lab, I can't wait to show him this clip!!!

      Yes Terry,it is sad and previous to these days before filming we never really thought that the works would crumble and close,so when reality started to kick in our mission was to try and preserve on film and camera as much as we could, regardless of its condition to at least have some,albeit sad,memories of a once great workplace!
