You stepped back into darkness after the technique. You need to clear the area correctly.

one of my instructors told me not to always chase the attack when defending, it could be a fient to draw your response out so he could counter-strike. He also told me not to be a punching bag - hit fast, hit hard, hit first, and hit often was his motto. Anyways, with a horizontal double attack i would suppose you could pick a side to work off of. Or you could shuffle back and slap thier hands up or down or if you must take the hit be lose and not take the force square or shuffle back and cover.

Also with the mention of not being able to block/check a push before contact.. Keep in mind that a push is easier to block than a punch and if you accepted contact on punches in the same way as you describe pushes... well you get the point

The fact that you noted that it's more unlikely to intercept the push before being pushed away is good, but what happens if the push vigorously propels you out of arm reach? Are you guys gonna make "what-ifs" for your videos?

ATACX GYM KENPO at that point you have distance from the aggressor. If you can't reach them, they can't reach you.

I have thought about that too. In reality, if you are pushed by someone committed to it, the very act of physical contact (2 hands on your chest) can cancel out your torso from rotating to hit his are with a block. Ive worked on it and discovered that I usually will end up in a neutral bow, hence, the backward motion being borrowed by his force. It is there that you use your position to fight or defend. Now this does not negate the technique.
