    Very helpful. It reinforced my decision not to following the folding instructions exactly as provided by the manufacturer. I like your solution of folding the fins back on themselves, more like the way it was originally packed.

    I had the same debate regarding the fins. My other boards have removable fin boxes. The fins on these boards seem a "little" sharp so I was a tad worried about them cutting into the board during transit or being stacked on. But a towel could add protection. Thanks for this. I wish manufacturers would have videos for packing away boards.
    I have the Body Glove Tandem 15' and getting the board, two paddles, backrests and pump into the bag is a game of tetris.

      I was about to end the video and I thought, "I'd better try and pack this thing up again and see how it goes". I'm still packing with a fold technique at the end to have the fins covered. Yea for sure it's a handful to get it all to fit but I've got a system now :)

      I did too! Came here for the same folding issue. I will be rolling then folding fins onto each other. I will definitely be weaving a towel tween the fins in case sharp edges are an issue for wear. The towel will be the drying towel as I fold it anyways. If I leave the fins on the top then I can just unzip to remove the towel and air dry the board unless I need to rinse from salt water use.
      Awesome deal!

    I just bought one of these. In the valve there is a spring/button type thing. It it is up it won’t blow air out like that. Then you push it down to release the air. I’m thinking you had it pushed down. Hope this helps!

    • @Psionic78
      @Psionic78  3 роки тому

      Yes! Thank you for the tip. I just figured it out yesterday when I had it out again. I think the little button sometimes pushes when you hook up the hose if you press too hard too. I had it in the 1 way position, the hose popped off during inflation, and I put it back on and then got blasted at the end again! Haha pretty good for a laugh though.

    I was looking to see how you pulled jt out of the water using that little plastic something on the front. I just got the latest model of this and I was curious about the best way to fold it back up. I noticed when I unboxed it, It was rolled fins first, with the fin end folded over itself. Seems like it gets a tighter roll that way.

    I met the board designers brother who sells these refurbished with a 1 year warranty in Asheville NC. I purchased the same exact design and board a few months ago and have been having a blast on lake Jocassee. 3 of my friends bought the board too. Came to video for folding tips - I tried a weird way where I folded sides up first and front to back so like 3 sections... still trying to get the best wrap up. It is kind of difficult to get it in the bag - What PSI are you pumping yours up to? I have been going a little past 11 each time.... Thanks for the video!

    I took a intro course on them in 2014... haven't been since. Looking for one now, but concerned about inflatables and the fact that I am over 6ft5, 300 lbs. I have a small lake near me here in Halifax, so it would get used.

    • @Psionic78

      I had myself and my wife both on it seated together, which would be well over what you are weighing in at, and it was still buoyant and completely above the surface of the water. I can't speak much for the height difference but the paddle being adjustable is a good sign.

      I have 4 boards and for a big weight cap, look at a high volume board like the Pop El Capitan which has a cap of 425lbs, 11'6" x 36" and would be a excellent choice. I'm 6-2/230 and have hand a friend ride and she's around 150lbs..worked fine. Damn good board. I have 2 BG Performer 11' board and they are a excellent board, but at your weight, the board will feel sluggish as you are at the max weight. Look for 11.5/12' board and minimum 32" wide or more.

I had a friend ride along and together were were about 400lbs and the board handled us with easy. A true freight hauler. Under 250lbs? Get the Performer 11! It's a very stiff board and all around great performer. And now for 2022 BG includes a electric pump (along with the manual pump) and that a great add.

      @Psionic78  2 роки тому

      I tried strapping it onto my ankle and swimming around with the board floating behind me attached to the other end of the cable. Mine seemed strong enough to keep the board from getting away from me. It was in calm waters I should note. You should put on the velcro strap when it is dry also. I notice they get kind of soft when wet. I'm sure it still works, but velcro seems to stick better when it's dry. Once the velcro is stuck together it's fine to get it wet after that. Let me know if that helps at all.
