I didn’t realize this for a long time. It was only in 2019 or so when I heard “A Well Earned Rest” in a Kirby music playlist and it immediately poked back into the part of my brain that remembered Dream Land’s map theme in Epic Yarn.. which I played back in 2011 or 2012.
I love how Robobot brings it back as the fast paced song it once was, that was a nice thing to hear. They do such a good job with the remixes of Ripple Star
It took them 16 years to make a Ripple Star remix that was not the "rest area" version. I also like that is used as the Dream Land map theme in Kirby's Epic Yarn, since it fits the context of the game and the original song quite well.
I think I'm okay with that, too. They went absolutely hard on this map select theme and you barely even hear it past the five second mark most of the time. I don't think HAL is ever going to bring back its original style: The closest we have is Kirby Fighters 2 with its chiptune Training Mode theme. It keeps it sounding a little hopeless, yet a little frantic, but mostly "c'mon, let's go end this".
I find really interesting how this apparently random map theme became a recurring song in the Kumazaki era of games. Not that I'm complaining, though. I love this song, a lot! I don't even care if it's overplayed.
How interesting! It seems as if Ripple Star's map theme is often used in times of peril! I like how its this recurring theme of "There's still hope, but not much. You need to hurry." Dreamland being overtaken by Yin-Yarn, the helpers briefly resting before their battle with the next foe, Adeline's battle with morpho knight, etc.
I love this leitmotif so much! It's incredibly versatile and it's really catchy. I'm loving how HAL can't seem to stop bringing it back; I hope this tradition continues later on down the line!
Somehow I heard all of these themes as a kid(at least the ones from 64, KSSU, and Epic Yarn) and even the ones in Triple Deluxe and Robobot and never realized they were the same... I'm losing my mind right now
probably my favorite kirby melody! in all the contexts it's used i just think it's neat that it usually seems to represent a faint sense of comfort, whether it's chilling in a rest area or returning to a place you called home before you have to face what's ahead of you. the triumphant version in Star Allies is still especially cool to hear!
Ribbon crying tears of joy over the fact that her homeworld theme is beloved by everyone and has never been forgotten. Her and Taranza are the best for me. Love both.
I love so much this theme and it can be considered as Fairy Queen theme I hope in the future we can get more of Fairy Queen, she is a underrated character who needs more love.
Unfortunately, I don’t think we’re gonna see her again. She missed her spot in Star Allies. Either way, she doesn’t really offer a whole lot, so I guess I’m okay with that.
I'm kind of sad I didn't play Super Star Ultra when it came out: I missed out on the first remiiiiix! ... then again, the sheer nostalgia probably would have cut my life short. x)
Kirby music is iconic in every single way, in most of the pre-2011 games; Kirby 64 in particular being far and away the best OST by a wide margin (with Super Star close behind). That being said, there is an absolute plethora of tunes in 64 all equal to one another, but something about THIS (of all things) LEVEL SELECT music was that extra special. I was pleasantly surprised that Ishikawa felt the same when he made it one of the (albeit MANY) tunes he has sinced rehashed repeatedly. A tragedy he hasn't really made music akin to Kirby's early days since. It all sounds overproduced and identical, since Triple Deluxe...much like the games themselves...
i think its because this fight is in Adeleine and Ribbon’s special friend story mode thing i forgot what its called lol- unless u were making a joke which in that case sorry for explaining this lol
kirby ost is my therapy when I get sad
I would say that but undertale and deltarune exist
This song made me sadder :(
it only makes you sadder
It just occurred to me that in Kirby's Epic Yarn, the music of the Dream Land map, a location found on Pop Star, uses music from Ripple Star.
I mean they're both their respective game's final world, and have you traverse a corrupted version of the homeland of one of the protagonists
@@TwinkleStar707 that's an insane point

As much as I love this theme, I feel like it overshadows the actual ripple star theme, with the insane drum solo
I agree! I hope that forgotten land brings back the original style of ripple star

I don't think the drum solo is the actual theme for ripple star, especially since the planet was taken over by dark matter during that time.😐

Nintendo fan :D
I guess it shows how this song is special!
Oloko o Nintendo Fan aqui.
Hey ther nintendofan, didn't expect you here but it's nice to see you also like listenin to kirby music, also nice observation
That motif in Girls Battle With The Darkness is so chilling yet so amazing
HELL YEAAHHH I LOVE THIS THEME
One of the best tracks in the entire Kirby franchise, I hope it appears in more games.
Ironic that in 64 and Epic Yarn its the coming back to a destroyed home theme
Only Kirby can transform a map theme in basically everything

0:16 Our hero's smile
The Planet Robobot one is easily my favorite, it perfectly manages to sound almost the same as the original while still being different.
Please god just remake Kirby 64 already
love the star allies one
i like that this one looping melody happened to get a bunch of variations of its theme for the recent kirby games
I like the Zero Two melody one! It’s so bold and determined!
I totally forgot how much I love the Robobot theme
I just realised that Kirby 64 gets referenced the most out of the Dark Matter trilogy. I wonder why that is?
I love this leitmotif so much! It's incredibly versatile and it's really catchy. I'm loving how HAL can't seem to stop bringing it back; I hope this tradition continues later on down the line!
That 6th interval at the start of it just tugs at my heartstrings every time
I like how this is used as relaxed or upbeat theme 4:28 is my favorite

I love this theme. It feels so magical and heartwarming. Thanks for compiling these arrangements.
I love how fresh these remixes still sound from each other. ^^
Oh wow, never noticed how much this theme was actually used throughout the years
Planet robobot and star allies had the best version
I personally think the Epic Yarn version is the best one. It's by far the most relaxing of all of them. Can be good sleeping music.
MY FAVORITE THEME TYSM 😭😭😭

A way to encourage someone without the help of words
I wish I could read music so I could learn to play this on something
Thank you very much for uploading this video! This is why I love the map theme so much!
Hail To Ripple Star

@@foreverkirby Thank you so much that means a lot coming from you! You're the best, dude!
Didn't Kirby Café also had a Ripple Star arrangement?
kirby café has an arrangement for ripple field from DL3, but iirc the only tracks it has from 64 are zero two and factory inspection
Star Allies definitely has the best version
The helpers rest one sounds so nice
I never knew Kirby Triple Deluxe's true arena waiting room was Ripple Star, because I never stayed in that room for too long
One of the relaxing music in the series. My favourite is from Kirby’s Epic Yarn.
I remember hearing Adeleine and Ribbon's theme and I thought (Huh what is this amazing melody?)
Wait shit I didnt even notice that Helper's Rest Area was Ripple Star!
Siempre me encanto ese tema, menos mal no lo dejaron morir en el olvido
This is a really smooth video and I'm not even two minutes in. :)

Beautiful song. I hope it returns in Forgotten Land.
This song is very relaxing
Yo the first one is the best bop ever
Happy....28(?) year anniversary
Oh cool 💙

@@Sol-hu6db it was a joke but that was still good to know.
I personally love the slow paced version more than the original. Aka Helper to Hero or Helper’s Rest. I wish it was used in all arenas though…
1000th like :-)
also im adeleine
Did anyone find Kirby Super Star Ultra CD's song? Not the entire medley, just that part of the song?
This Is Your Last Chance!
Good Luck
Anyone know the chords of this? I can't tell if the third one is a a Dminor or BFlat major with a D in the bass or just something else entirely
It was made with Filmora
That's some good editing skills!
