We only live 20 minutes away and I see why we haven’t camped here. Tooooo close. Yikes like an apartment complex. But that I for such a good view of all sites. Very well done
Thanks, glad you found it helpful! You really can’t go wrong with just about any site at Turkey Run. It’s a great park! I would think avoiding sites in the center section (not many trees for shade on the inside of the loops). Most of the sites in the Twin Oaks loop had grass and it you pick an outside site, they often have some shade from the woods. Most sites in the Sugar Ridge section are wooded. I’ve seen a lot of people say they like 235-239. Site 7 has a grassy area for tents with some shade. It also depends on what you like for privacy (7 is not very private). The wooded sites in Sugar Ridge are much more private than the Twin Oaks loop.
Shady Lane 157-183, then the back small sugar ridge loop 221-227 and then the large sugar ridge loop238-241 and 252-254 and either side of turkey hollow. Are all great wooded spots to keep out of sun while tent camping.
Sugar ridge has electric sites. We didn’t make it through that loop when we were there, but we’ll grab it next time. www.in.gov/dnr/state-parks/files/turkeyrun_electric.pdf
I don’t recall specifically. I also don’t recall them not having threads. It seems like if they didn’t have threads it’s something we would’ve noticed. Sorry! Just can’t say with certainty either way.
Just booked site 24 ❤ so happy to see it’s just as awesome as I thought it would be
Have fun on your camping trip! We love Turkey Run!

Thanks for the compliment! We loved our camping trip there, so many good hiking trails. We were actually barely at our site.
Awesome thank you!
Glad it was useful for you!
Great video but you skipped the main shaded loop? Lol
I know! So sorry….we do intend to go back and finish the park - hopefully soon!
Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed!
Which sites are best for car / tent camping? Thanks. Great video btw.

Are any of the sites up on Sugar ridge electric? I have not seen any reviews for the sites up there.

The link shows a map of the electric sites
Do the water spickets have hose threads on them?
