Demo Version

Neidmeyers Mind
I cannot ever find a way,
To throw these darkened thoughts away.
Need a place to hide.
It's thrown in my face everyday,
Guess that's the price I have to pay,
For what's inside my mind.
I am alive...
Little things tempt me everyday,
Constant pain is how I like to play.
Better not cross that line.
What's this in my head I didn't say,
It's something I can't throw away.
What's inside my mind.
I am alive...
I am alive.
I will never run away.
Places inside.
My heart screams inside with pride.
Once I cried,
Now I wipe away the tears.
Once I died,
Now I'm alive.
Alive! x3
I cannot ever find a way,
To throw these darkened thoughts away.
Need a place to hide.
It's thrown in my face everyday,
Guess that's the price I have to pay,
For what's inside my mind.
I am alive.
I will never run away.
Places inside.
My heart screams inside with pride.
Once I cried,
Now I wipe away the tears.
Once I died,
Now I'm alive.
KoRn is one of the most interesting bands I've ever heard, nobody sounds like them and the demo and first album were absolute masterpieces
@EyeHateMusic your username speaks for you very well
EyeHateMusic Name em bud
@EyeHateMusic your bio adds up to your brain size. How old are you?
One of the best Korn songs ever.
no act so ony facts
True.
This is THE version of KoRn's "Alive"! It's far more raw, fun, and moshable than the "official" version that appeared in TALITM! Old school KoRn fans will know this shit! 😎🤘🍻
i still think the 2000s era is far superior writing, mixing, vocals, and in general but i can see why people enjoy the demo
Agree. I much prefer Jon's vocals in the older albums
This is the first song that Jon did with Korn and it actually got him in the band
Deadass?
He freestyle it and later rewrote it
Wow, really had no clue. So it's this old then?
@@shaunbukhuth4410 yes alive is indeed from 1993
@@wm1573 I think like late 1992
real ones know...this is THE version
Yeah I actually don't like the "official" version
This one seems more raw and gritty
Facts
Here I am, real. There's just something about this one that hits harder
@@BarrenthevampireAnd maniacal too! 🤣🤣🤣
Yes sir
That bass intro reminds me of the one from Would by Alice in Chains.
Took my comment lol
funny how they made a cover of that song recently
It doesn't remind me even slightly of Would
ur not the only one doogg
That riff between the chorus is absolutely killer.
Yes!
Honestly this is my go to song when I’m feeling down
This is probably the highest Korn has ever tuned. This is in D# Tuning
Not to get into semantics but I believe you meant to say this is the lowest Korn has ever tuned, (their guitars).😊
@@kiros13Actually, is the highest, because they recorded their demos in A# Standard, then in 1994 they started playing one semitone lower (A Standard)
Need to..
@@pwrrorabioso tf?
And Predictable.
Helmet in the bush lol
This version is actually really eerie
Does anyone else hear the similarities at 2:11 of this bridge, and the bridge in their song “Need To” in their first album?
This song actually later became “Need to”
And the chorus riff is the same too
"similarities" it's literally need to, lol
1:36 riff too from need to
@@wm1573 exactly
The best version of Alive
I like this way fucking better than the non demo I just wish it were a little bit cleaner.
Dammit this version is really growing on me!!
That Roar… Iconic.
this makes me go insane it's too damn good
Spencer u should come over
@@g0r311 g0r311
Jon used to laugh more often
This version is growing on me.
Oh baby I like it raw. This is the OG🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is a fucking good ass song
i love this more than studio version alive
this gets stuck in my head too much 😂
Stinky
@@billrobertjoe wow
@@cherrybomb5551 pinky
Korny Flakes, hey. At least I'm not the only one who gets this good heavy shit stuck in their mind. 👌
@@ms.gamerladyharlow6871 Yeah true
This version is way better than the one on TALITM.
Yeah it is
Merh is a helluva drug, apparently.
i say they're both good in their own ways
@Bro Vado haha . Not really into meth, but was known to binge on various party favors in my youth. It's all good.
@@billrobertjoe agreed
Alive, need to
Quality notwithstanding, the drums in this track are so good.
Still my favorite version ❤️❤️
This is the shit I wanna fucking hear, sounds like my early teens and it's fucking PISSED
Me too!! That’s why I listen to Neidermayer's Mind
Album n LIP demos lmao
This version is waaaaay fuckin better than the other.
1:36 this riff is very similar to the riff from need to
This would later become Need To on their debut album, and then got re-released in Take a look in the mirror.
Love this version way better
The bass intro sounds like "Would?" from AIC
this has the same drop as need to
I think this ended up being reworked into Need To. It’s so awesome!
@@matttipton6009 i agree
Danm this sounds like there old joints I hear so much pain in this
Cuando el Demo es mejor que la versión final!
Y si eh!
The verses are completely different. Only the chorus is the same (instrumentally that is)
Por mucho!!! ajaja
@@borkug1566 In TALITM added the "A - LIVE " pre chorus.Love that part but... love the riff in demo version verses too.
The bridge they use for this and then later in Need To, actually comes from a band with the korn members minus JD called LAPD and the song is called “excuse me”
I wish this was on the self titled album instead of need to
100 x better than the revised version. #sexart
The Demo is mutch mutch better
This sounds like an AiC track
Need To with different lyrics
If you listen to the demos there’s a lot of parts that are in other songs. Layla has lyrics that were used in Lost from Life is Peachy. It’s very interesting to me
@@xidiosynkratic2350 layla isn't a demo it's a b-side
@@billrobertjoe late as fuck here, but I always seen Layla posted as sexart
@@billrobertjoe there are two versions of Layla actually
Need to came from this song
Am I the only 1 that thinks this sounds very rob zombie particularly the beginning
This song is too good
I need to came from this 1:34 1:35 1:36 1:36 1:38 1:39 1:40 1:41 1:42
The break down came from this song
ua-cam.com/video/pIA2mFmoKTA/v-deo.html&feature=share7
Ahora estoy vivo
Dos canciones en una misma
As much as I like Need To, I'd rather they had went with this on the debut album.
1:34
This is better
😜
Much prefer the newer version. Both heavier and more melodic.
Rodin this version is heavier
@EscapdMentalMike oh my god shut the fuck up lol. You're acting like talitm was not Korn? It literally even had all the original members in it too
Dude; the overall sound... YES. But the Laughter in the beginning makes the track standable in any sense of the word.
Im amazed they were signed in 2022 standards
it was Need tooo
Napster
🦋🌓🌎🌏🦅🎧🦅🌏🌍🌗🦋
ALİ DEMO FİGEN BİRİ AÇIKLASIN ⁉️⁉️⁉️
I never get why people would ever like this version.
Mariel Valencia it’s heavier. And has a self titled vibe
It just sounds more raw and more feelings and it's what I love
@Bro Vado are you serious? If for you is mediocre a cleaner and better version well yeah, I suppose is mediocre.
Mainly because is not only heavier, but if you grew up listening to Korn and had that demo rarities tape. This was the first track on the b side or it was on mine. But it's nostalgic so of course ppl who heard this version first would prefer this one over the polished one on talitm
Because it’s better than the TALITM version
Tf are these comments "masterpiece", like what, the audio quality is god awful, Jonathan's singing isn't great, what are you guys talking about
why it's a masterpiece is because it's so raw and old..his vocals are amazing and ofc the audio quality's gonna be bad, it's a DEMO and was made in 1993
Alive was the first korn song to. Also, just because the audio quality sucks doesn’t mean it’s fucking bad. Look at slipknots vol.3 that album is a fucking gold mine yet the mixing is so fucking shit
@@nono7117 exactly
This version is heavier though.
You're missing the point. That's like saying Ocarina of Time isn't a masterpiece because it looks like polygons made out of potatos. You have to look at this in the vaccuum of its' time.
I wished I could ask Kurt Cobain what is his thoughts and opinions on Korn and nu metal
