The more part and price options, the better, no complaints about high- or low-end components, all have their proper place. And imagine if Shimano or whomever got a pro to endorse Cues and such, with a "Hey, everybody, when I'm not racing, I'm riding my bike and my everyday bike has CUES!" That's real life and that'd be fun to see. 😀
Not all tubeless wheels are clincher compatible- most brands are abandoning hookless rims. All current DT and Campag wheels are "two-way fit", making them compatible with clincher tires, and safer with tubeless tires than hookless rims. Some tire manufacturers are also making clincher tires compatible with hookless rims. You guys should know this!
Great point - none of the cycling media industry seem to want to go there… (CUES flatbar and drop bar) is more than 75% of the entire cycling industry… CUES drop bar makes more sense for leisure cyclists who aren’t racing tbh - perfect for audax/endurance riders too
Shimano Cue's systems will just end up being called "Shimano 9 speed", "Shimano 10-speed" or "Shimano 11-speed". The name "Shimano" has value to entry level riders... to them it means it shifts smoothly and reliability and the X-speed tells buyers how many gears they are getting. That's all they really care about... - As someone that sold bikes for a living only a few years ago.
Call me Retro. When I started riding and racing, it was the mid 80's, then the 90's, then the 00's, and finally the mid 10's. I went from 7, to 8, to 9, and then to 10's in back. Still have three bikes with 7700, and 7800. 11 or 12 speed not needed. The older I became, the lower the gearing I needed. When I started, I needed a 39x21, then a 39x23, and now a 39x25. All this new electronic Tech, just confuses me.
What about electronic tech confuses you? Your gearing sounds like a different issue entirely from whether the shifting is done mechanically or electronically.
Cues lets Shimano let all entry point bikes seem comparable to consumers. The person buying the $400 bike will feel that they are getting similar value to the person buying the $2,000 bike. These are value buyers as opposed to roadie geeks.
Hello darkness, my old friend I've come to talk with you again Because a vision softly creeping Left its seeds while I was sleeping And the vision that was planted in my brain Still remains Within the sound of silence ................................
Yeah no change in the sram chainset 🙄 Yeah its rings aren’t separate from the power meter and had a total redesign for it. And you get paid to know this 🙄 And two way is from a time when tubeless wasn’t a thing on the road maybe 14 years ago. But you crack on “geeks” as you put it. Knobs more like it💯
They should have just called it 'cues 8/9/10' as a ranking system so that anyone can tell which is more gooder
It is called 9/10/11…
The Y1RS is like a good timeless car design. Inital reaction is polarizing then with time it is appreaciated.

Back from the days of Paolo Bettini world championships w the gold kit. Love it!
When I think of a "Two Way Fit System" fits Through Axel and Quick Release.
Sram needs the equivalent of Shimano's Cues......continuing to ignore the entry level market needs calling out.

Those Campagnolo Shamals are really heavy for a 40/45 at that price point... These companies have lost the plot.
They are all-road, not race wheels, and depth suitable for the purpose.

Minimum crank length of 170mm…WTF Shimano?

Art Garfunkel.
now that some big brands only release disc brake wheels do you think it's worth it to upgrade a bike from rim brakes to disc brakes?
I like that basso frame ,short chainstay length.
Its one of those bikes that you either hate it or love it.

Favourite bike: Look 795 Blade RS.
What does the life of a chain or cassette have to do with internal cable routing?
"2 way fit" has been their buzzword for well over a decade.
The "2-way fit" system has been around for at least 5 years, try and keep up with the news my guy 🤦

Left its seeds while I was sleeping

Still remains
