Some of the best years of my life were spent in Frankfurt as a presenter on AFN. It was a thrill to learn that our shows went beyond the military community and into the vast German and French audience.

Thank you so very much for this wonderful video. I grew up in Europe, the son of a military officer. We didn’t have television except for a few national tv channels. We therefore listen to the radio broadcast of AFN . I grew up listening to this music as a young boy and it continues to bring me great joy and memories. The German commentary was great too...I learned it as well as French and Italian.
