I think Jeff Thomson at his quickest was the quickest of all time(his bowling action was quite unique) with Shoab Akhtar by far the quickest of the modern era.
Shoaib Akhtar is probably the most menacing fast bowler in modern cricket , post helmet era...in full flow, he was such joy to watch .. Brett Lee or Waqar Younis/Donald in their prime was frightening too, but Akhtar could produce such awe in the batsmen not only through his pace but body language as well

My most fav ever the shoaib, those times shoaib and every player out there used to play so much of test matches and ODIs, they got tremendous stamina.. today's cricket has just became a game to 4 overs and the bowler is like 🥴. cricket has changed a lot. miss those days of shoaib sachan dravid inzimam waqar wasim ganguli shan polak clozner galikcrist mc grath flamming astle emroz kumar sangakara younas khan muhamamd asif Shane warne (late😢) M.kaif zaheer khan irfan pathan and many more from 90's & early 20's.. if u ppl have in uwa mind plz add them , and sorry for the spellings 🥸
You can spot the fear even in the eyes of legends of that era whenever shoaib was coming breezing towards them. Such was the caliber of this man.
