Just seen this awesome model looks and sounds great, I have a 96" span C-Y models White & Gold Rare Bear and a DLE 222 cc engine this video has my mind thinking about fitting the engine as it will fit inside the cowl I am not sure if the model would hang together though. Mick
Hello Victor, you do have to make some small ajdustments, but the 220 fits really well. There are no temperature problems and it's definitely the better engine if you want that sort of speed. Also, if you used the 170 you would have to add lead to get the center of gravity right. This is not necessary with the 220. If you need pictures of the inside of the plane, I can send you some. Take care Thomas
Hello Thomas, thank you very much for your reply, and sorry for contact to you so late, I am really sorry! I have seen your video several times, but until now I didn´t see your comment. I am thinking in buy the BERCAT instead of RARE BEAR, always with the 220 cc, but I would like you to tell me if you think that the speed of the BEARCAT, would be similar to RARE BEAR. thank you! Victor
Hello again Thomas, finally I have bought a BEARCAT, and I am going to install a MINTOR 220 cc., then could you please send me pictures of how to install the engine......and ony others you think could be interesting for me? this would help a lot to me! Thank you BR Victor
Hello Thomas, the plane flyes really wonderfull! It is easy to install the engine 220? Do you have problems with the temperature in the engine? Did you have any important thing to build the plane? Do you think that with 3W 170 could fly more or less like your? I am interested in having this plane, and it is for this reason that I make to you this questions. Thank you Victor Calvo
That is almost as cool as watching the full scale Rare Bear! That baby rips! 👍
One of the best sounding 2 stroke engines ive heard, very nice model

Very nice model, flies more like a jet than a prop plane.
This plane had to be approaching 200 mph. Makes me realize just how robust that 3W airframe is.
Belo voo e que máquina...parabéns!!!!
Geniales Modell, genialer Flug, genialer Pilot! Alle Achtung!
Andreas
That would be cool to have an RC Reno Air Race.
This makes me happy!
Well Done!

This plane would look awesome if it had a scale prop...slapping a 2 bladed prop on these warbirds absolutely ruins the looks...
