Wait why is everyone complaining? This possibly tge best english I've heard Miku sing, doesn't have much engine noise, she (of course) has an accent but it's not that bad, and she sounds very cute! Has a clear Miku tone and does not sound like she's trying to puke like V3 english (sorry miku but that's the truth). Saki did a good job!

I agree, I suppose it's because v3 sounds a bit clearer, but I can say v4 has better pronunciation and accent, along with its attack and release sound. (Yes I know I'm replying to a comment made 4 years ago. Just saying what I observed.)

Oh my god, I had no idea they had Miku singing in English! I spent so many years listening to her chirp away in Japanese and she made me feel so happy and comforted me through so many difficult times, even though I couldn't understand a word. Hearing her sing in English made me cry like a baby because it struck such an emotional chord.

+JediSon 98 so I guess you're not much into it yet =/ first, Calne Ca it's not a Vocaloid - look for Deino and his works. Second, there are like 100 other Vocaloids, better or worse and we all use them and know them.
I'd say - if you feel as though you'd put Miku's Japanese voicebanks to good use (suppose you are buying them though) then go for Miku V4x; but other than that'd - I'd go for Ruby, considering the price of Miku V4x Bundle is the more expensive of the packages (excl. if you just buy Miku V4 English on its own).
At the same time, from the music you write. I'd definitely go for Ruby because she has the voicetype which may compliment it.
It's a shame neither of them have voicebank trials, rofl. I'd be so much easier for you to pick then.
No, I'm just looking for engloids - I don't know japanese enough to invest in these voicebanks x'D It'd be a waste. Now I have Maika and Dex, and GOD! he's one of the best engloids I've heard. And Maika I use for polish, sometimes for english.
I wanted english Rin&Len, but I didn't buy them, now Miku is realased...
But what I really want now is Gumi English V4!!!!
I've listened to thousands upon thousands of vocaloid songs but still find myself coming back to this one. It has superb song composition, marvelous English tuneing and packs an sweet emotional punch. Thank you for bringing this into our lives.
i looove the improvement... i understand some people saying its doesnt sound like her but i also think its hard for people to imagine what she would sound like speaking clear english, and with vocaloid works i imagine its not the same as if her VP would sound actually speaking english sentences. personally, i do think it still sounds like her.
tbh with miku being quite an icon, i believe a more important goal is clearness and accuracy.

A true Miku fan would love her english voice. not call it "trashy" People need to be reminded of their place as a fan. I love both versions of Miku. We gotta appreciate the hard work the producers go through to make us songs such as these. Its not easy people. She sounds great! I can see it getting better in the future :) Happy Birthday Miku, your my second favorite Vocaloid! may your sweet voice continue to motivate me.
@Daniella13 R. You couldn't have said it better, but I disagree on the Kagamine Rin thing. (At least on rin), her V2 voicebanks are just as good as her V4, and better than some V4 voicebanks I've seen. For "trashy" voicebanks I would go with Luka V4, that's what I call a bad voicebank ._.

I should've considered that comment is a year old lol xD It's actually normal to feel upset when using the Kagamine's V2 voicebanks for the first time since they are really, REALLY hard to use... But still, it's definetely Rin's most realistic vb, and if you know how to use it you'll know what I'm talking about. On the other hand, I objectively think Luka V4 is Crypton's worst voicebank. I've got nothing personal against that vb, but god... it's so weak for a cyptonloid that I've been even thinking on doing a review to let people know why I don't recommend it... but I guess this is not the right place to do that xD

I haven't tried her english, but as far as I know it's just an improved version of her eng V2, while V4 jpn is a total distortion of her original voice... and, I don't mean to be pessimistic, but I get the feeling that crypton takes this new luka voice as the original now because when they did her unreleased beta append for V2 it already sounded just like V4 soft, and just by listening how Miku NT turned out I've got near 0 expectations for her :/

Okay just cuz you like one voicebank over another doesn't mean you can go around dissing other vocaloids, like please, the way a vocaloid sounds all depends on the person tuning them so please keep that in mind too

Of course, I'm not an expert, but I've had enough experience to know where people can improve in using vocaloid. Also, Len isn't that bad. Have you ever seen Jirai's channel? He makes amazing English covers

I've been following Miku and the Synthesizer technology for the past six years, and it has been awesome seeing how much it has progressed through the years. It is also awesome to see how much the community around Vocaloids and Utauloids grew and how powerful it has become worldwide.
With that, I say Happy Birthday Miku! Hopefully, I will be in Japan for the 10th anniversary Magical Mirai concert as the one back in 2014 was lovely.
i gotta say, MJQ was not a good choice for the tuning imo. they're in the middle of figuring out their own tuning style and I'm not sure if they're a native English speaker (?) so maybe nostraightanswer or Crusher-P may have been better ?? idk.
MJQ is from the Philippines, so yeah not a native english speaker. The original version of this song(also by MJQ) IMO is better. The english/tagalog is the best though.

Exactly what I thought! This isn't a very good demo, like it's just like his tuning with Luka V4X's 'Just be Friends' the tuning is just bad.
i didn't say anything implying racism at all, i'm just saying that he doesn't have firsthand experience with the language (as he didn't grow up speaking English all the time.) it'd definitely be a lot smoother if the demo was made by an American/British/Australian/South African/etc. producer, because English would be their first language. it isn't a bad demo, but I'm just stating that this particular producer can have troubles in the English vocaloid world.

Sad to see Miku English still sounds trashy :/ just my opinion but Miku doesn't really sound like Miku. And not a lot of people know how to make her english sound good. Even with circus who makes Miku English sound wonderful the pronunciation and tuning are still a issue. Miku sounds stale and choppy. English banks have a long way to go :/. Even still happy birthday Miku.

Circus P's tuning doesn't make Miku English sound wonderful at all. You can't understand any of his songs without the lyrics. I still have a hard time understanding Ten Thousand Stars, Our Broken Anthem, Copy Cat, etc. That's just your bias speaking. Circus-P can't tune for shit.
Of course the Japanese Voice providers are going to sound weird, they're speaking a language they're barely familiar with at all. It's only natural KAITO, MEIKO, Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin & Len, etc. are going to sound weird. But they're trying their damn best to appeal to the Western audience. I, for one, think they're doing an excellent job with the language barriers. If you want an English Vocaloid, go listen to Cyber Diva and stop complaining.

Wow, it's really amazing to see how much progress they have made with the voicebank English Miku in V4X version than the V3, finally feel clearly the words and the voice sounds completely natural, now I would say that the Japanese voicebank and English are at par.
