That is something to get an engine from The Far Side of the Earth. Very nice, I have the Bachmann version, which, touch wood, not given any issues in 10 years I have owned it,
Mega 37s I love the English electric type 3 tractors they sound brilliant. I got my lima class 37/0 name Loch Rannoch and I bought from Dundee model railway exhibition in 2022
It is not always easy to accept a gift and it has taken grace on your part as much as the grace and kindness of the man who has given it you 🙂 What a lovely model and a great running session for us to enjoy.
What a Fantastic Model, and a well deserved Bonus of Recognition for your Services to Model Railways Bill - Big Up to James from Oz - Good onya Cobber 🇦🇺
What a lovely idea that was James from Australia. I'm sure OO Bill struggled with accepting your kind give. I'm pleased you did Bill. After all you do loads for others. 37043 looks stunning running around your layout Bill.
Maaaaan, that is an insanely generous donation from James! That must've been a pretty penny for him to spend on a gift, but I can't think of a better UA-camr to receive such a gift either, for all the work you've done on other people's models, you definitely deserve it!
Having posted stuff to Uk from Oz. The Cost of Posting would have been up there too..! I recently posted a Coin to Uk it cost around $30 aud. Then Extra for Insurance. So an even more Expensive Gift. What a Great thing to do..! And James if your Following tthis and into giving any other OO stuff away. I live in Adelaide and am Trying to build up my Loco Collection. 😂😂 What a Seriously Nice thing to do. Cheers All..! 😎
Or even better than the suggestion above, the green and cream West Highland tourist coaches you were swithering over at the Falkirk show. Now that would be an authentic 1980’s pairing.
Super Generous of James and to be fair to you Bill, your content has been excellent, so in that way, well deserved, as well. The locos fits perfectly with your layout too. Enjoy it mate.
00Bill what a fantastic generous gift 😊 But too be honest Bill you absolutely deserve everything thing that offered as you do a fantastic job and yourself so kind to others and charity 🤩 I’ve got something for you in the new year that might be useful for your layout 🤔
What a great gift from James. She's a real looker on the layout with the mk2 coaches & runs so well. I hope you have many hours of fun with her Bill. I've a few Accurascale models & they are scarily well detailed but well worth the effort in looking after them. 🙂
Never look a gift horse in the mouth, Bill. It just shows how much your videos are appreciated by your viewers. The Accurascale 37 is a triumph. I've seen several up close & personal, although my own isn't due for delivery until the New Year. Have you had a chance to see Mouldy Raspberry's videos relating to his example? In his latest he runs it with a couple of late BR steam locos, and for once it's the diesel that steals the show! Having been born & grown up in the South Wales Valleys where 37s seemed to be hiding behind every corner, I've collected a fleet of the things - mainly late Lima examples - in various liveries. They're nowhere near the quality of more recent Bachmann's (let alone Accurascale's!) but the relatively low prices of preloved Lima locos has allowed me to acquire a nice collection that reminds me of happy days in the Valleys watching and listening to the distinctive growls of Tractors. PS: watching running sessions on your ever-maturing layout is a pleasure. Thank you.
You have done so many repairs for people in the past, keeping their locos and memories alive ,it’s nice that folk feel you deserve a big thank you in this way.
Wow what a lovely gift.. I have recently got the Accurascale class 37. 37409 Lord Hinton... Runs lovely,... I myself had looked at the Bachmann new class 37s but they are far too expensive! Enjoy your new 37,. Like haow the layout is coming along, I always enjoy your videos. Amazing how you manage to get almost every repair request sorted. well done on 300 videos, I also notived that you are on the way to 10K subscribeers. Take care!
Great donation . Don’t feel guilty he must have appreciated the channel enough to donate . I enjoy it too , but being a tight Scotsman , you’ve got nae chance !
What a fantastic gift, Bill ! They are wonderful models and if you were to add DCC sound, you’d be even more impressed, I’m sure. Some people are so, so kind. Well done to James for his generosity. Keep up the great work. I love watching your repair videos. All the best
Hats off to James for his incredibly generous gift, but she looks perfectly at home trundling around your layout, Bill. I can perfectly understand your feelings on being told what was being donated and then subsequently receiving that big box, but it is only right and proper to accept the gift, in the manner intended. Cant tell if you have fitted the etched plates or not, but if not, can I offer a tip? Use thin pva to fix them, not superglue, bostik or anything else. PVA gives you time to position the plates properly an any excess squeezed out can be wiped away with a damp cotton bud. Best wishes from a wet and windy Wirral!
Hi Bill brilliant video again love the locomotive looks amazing and sounds so quiet a very generous donation looking forward to your next video keep up the amazing work and videos Bernard
There are instructions to set the socket switches for analogue running and this is shown in reviews but I've yet to see anyone get the cab lights working under DC.
Just to let you know my Accurascale 37 (I run on DC too) has Cab lighting (I believe there is a set of switches that you can adjust under the roof module where the decoder would sit so you can sort it out).
There are two sets of slider switches. One on the blanking plate and one on the socket. The loco comes with instructions for setting the latter for analogue running but if there is a way to enable the cab lights I'd like to know but haven't been able to find out.
A great looking loco and a very generous gift. I'm also slightly put off by a lot of the newer stuff making my (very much) older locos looking like garbage, but never say never
They are excellent models but Ive only bought one as I have about 8 Bachmann 37's and don't really want to start selling those and replacing them with what is now a hard to get model.
@oobill you do realise, you have given so much, education, enjoyment from watching, everything you do. Yes, there are some staggeringly good model railways out there, but watching you build yours is inspirational. Having people gifting you things, whether it be seagulls and sheep to locomotives and rolling stock, is a way from us to say thank you. I personally look forward to every Sunday to see what gem you release. It is natural, raw, and you tell it like it is. Give us hints then. Keep up the good work. Hopefully by the days end I'll have me a GWR 282 tank engine to go along with the 280 tank I got two weeks ago. ☺️
@@DaiElsan Thanks but please don't expect a video every Sunday. There won't be one today. So much depends on so many other things. I do try to get a video uploaded each weekend but it just isn't always the way it works out.
That's a very generous donation from James in Australia but I can't think of a better channel to send it to. It's well deserved Bill, congratulations.
Well said...
Indeed. Hear, hear !
Lucky laddie indeed but very well deserved.
the generosity of some people is just amazing. pretty soon the NRM will be calling asking if you would like to have mallard.
Well deserved bill enjoy running the 37 got loch eil and network rail awesome models 🚂🚂🚂🚂
Well played James. A magnificent gift.
When you look at the world these days, isn’t it refreshing, when someone does something nice for somebody, just for the sake of it?

Dear Sir,
A beautiful model, indeed! I am sure Capitaine Haddock would approve.
Cheers from Tintin loving Brazil!

That's a very generous donation Bill and well suited to your other locomives, runs extremely smoothly on the layout, great stuff.

6:12 gave me a smile for sure.😀 Your layout progress is certainly encouraging for those of us who don't quite manage to get to the scenery stage.

Definitely well deserved and James is a splendid fellow.

Great donation . Don’t feel guilty he must have appreciated the channel enough to donate . I enjoy it too , but being a tight Scotsman , you’ve got nae chance !
So very kind to be donated such a fantastic loco. I've had my eye on one of these but not got or ordered one yet.
A well deserved gift. Lovely to see generosity at work. Keep up the great videos Bill. 🎉
ooooooh nice Tractor, that fits in well with your set up.

that livery was gorgeous , loved the wee westie

Fantastically generous gift and richly deserved.
Extremely generous! Well done!😊
What a great locomotive, enjoy!
A most generous gift. Looking forward to seeing it with the snowploughs fitted, but be warned they are a bit fiddly.😀
Hi Bill brilliant video again love the locomotive looks amazing and sounds so quiet a very generous donation looking forward to your next video keep up the amazing work and videos Bernard
They're great models the Accurascale class 37, I have two already and I'm sure another will be added at somepoint.
Gorgeous! Good on ya…❤
A lovely loco Bill, looks good pulling that rake.
😮😮😮 very kind of James, lovely loco.
Such a generous gift I think you deserve it, and what amazing person buying you that 37. Really enjoy watching your videos
PS: I'm sure I saw a video where someone (Sam's Trains perhaps?) flicked a switch under the removable roof that allowed the cab lights to work on DC.
There are instructions to set the socket switches for analogue running and this is shown in reviews but I've yet to see anyone get the cab lights working under DC.

Very nice, but still prefer the old school when it comes to maintenance. Taking that apart could be a Nightmare.
What have you got on your all-time wish list, Bill? That's a cracking looking 37 by Accurascale.
Probably best I keep that to myself! Although it might be a good subject for a video one day.

good vid on channel keep up the cool vid on channel thanks lee
Stunning model, love it. Why there's a small dog painted on the side?
Scottish depots had motifs. The West Highland Terrier was used by the Eastfield depot. Other motifs were a Stag and a Salmon.
A Great gift....is that a dog with the shed crew
Yup. That's Shug the Shed Dug...
If you don't have enough room for donations. I would like donations 😊
