I was taught to do this very young in my mechanic's trade. I too have shown many people how to do this. Great video.
Very informative, great camera work, many thanks!

First finally!! Thanks Tomislav for ALL YOUR TEACHINGS
Ohh woowww.. just what I wanted and I didn't even know. Thank you so much sir!!
Very interesting, full of information. Thank you.
As usual, a very informative video.
Thank you so much....... I was thinking the other day that I may be needing need drill bits. Not now!
The centre of the metal drill is called the "web", cutting the secondary bevel is known as "web thinning", or if ground more so there is no web it would be a "split point" grind.
Thank you for this!
Well…. now I"m going have to covert some spare drills to brad points. Thanks as always!
That will take some practice!!
Thank you for sharing
can I sharpen drill bits on a cbn wheel?
I believe the answer is yes as most if not all drill bits are hardened steel.
Should the burr be removed?
Can this also be done on a cbn wheel?
I've always been so poor at this, I always joked I just used a pencil sharpener.
Good explanations but please take care of your fingers ! Cheers my UA-cam friend from Luxembourg 🇱🇺 europe
