Wow I've been shooting for 35 years and I've learned so much from watching your channel more then anything else I've tried. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and spreading the word of archery to the world 👍

I’m a Navy veteran and cadence goes with what I’ve been lookin for and needing. I was looking for something and not knowing what it was. I’ve worried about shooters around me, what they’re doin. And others watching me shoot and what they’re thinking. For some reason a movie quote from the last samurai with Tom Cruise has been sticking with me (too many minds, need one mind, too many minds). And you doing this video on shot cadence, shot process may have just help me solve my problem by adding a cadence to my shot process. Thanks a lot for this video!!! I needed that! Keep them comin!!!

John outstanding!!! Remarkable coaching from you and WILL be working on my cadence. I understand what you are saying about RYTHUM of a shot. I know when my timing is off, I actually FORCE the shot!!!! Thanks John and you and the family stay safe!!!!!!

I found a metronome to be very helpful when I was learning to shoot up tempo. I never considered an actual "mantra" on the release. I always just counted 1 2 3 and shot a hundred at 1 2 and 3.

Whenever he drops a video, or in the school of nock series. I feel like the tribal elder just gathered all the younger hunters around in the village to teach something. I just sit down, shut up, click button, and listen.

I've started to use a metronome to help with cadence. Something that Travis Hailey uses for pistol and rifle shooting.

Too funny -- that Military Background screams off the page John.
I started doing "The Cadence" after my 3rd Shot with a bow ;) (Retired Military).
Try the Carpenter's - 'We've Only Just Begun'. Lols

I've watched several of your videos and have enjoyed them. I am a beginner in archery. I picked up a compound bow after trying my daughter in laws. I feel the advice you share on using compound bows is great as you explain why and how to do things and then show it. My bow is an older model a Black Lightening Jennings with a draw length of 30 a pull weight of 55 and a string length of 36. I bought the bow before I had gotten measured. I didn't know at the time that was a factor. But I wanted to know if there is a way to change the draw length from 30 to 25 without buying another bow. Thank you

Take it to a bow shop and they will order the parts to change the draw length. Good luck!

This is almost a step by step guide to develop target panic! As both a golfer and a bowhunter, the mental aspect is one I've always paid close attention to. Putting your shot sequence on a timer, so to speak will usually end in target panic or the yeps. Consistancy in routine and a mindful release control would better so many more ppl than putting a subconscious timer on yourself.
