Thx for the great tutorial. I had a terrible time getting that little devil screw off the hinge. It was incredibly tight in there. Took me like an hour or so to get it out of there, and a bunch of different bit strategies. I had to let the customer know because it took me longer. It always baffles me why Apple likes to put these tiny cheap POS malleable screws to hold up a repair! Oh BTW, for anyone out there baffled why the screen keeps going black and forth normal when you hit power, and the keyboard / trackpad not working; turns out you better put the little crappy covers on everything, otherwise it acts weird like that. 🙂

does anyone know a video of the harder version of the lcd repair which is removing the broken glass and replacing the it while using the original back of the display?
hello, is there any feature that not working beside truetone? how about the screen quality compared to genuine screen?
after disconnecting the battery, I noticed the end of female connection on the board had broken off. I wonder if the battery will still work once I put it back together?

Fantastic tutorial! I've just placed an order for a brand-new, non-original screen replacement for my A2681 via Amazon. Quick question: I stumbled upon a blog claiming this model incorporates unique security features, preventing the attachment of just any screen without specific configurations. How accurate is this? Your tutorial seems to suggest no such configuration is required.
