HOKA Speedgoat 5: The MOST POPULAR Trail Shoe (No Jargon Shoe Review)

The HOKA Speedgoat is the most popular trail shoe in the US right now, and for good reason. I finally tested a pair of the 5’s ($155), and was super impressed. They gripped well on technical and rocky terrain, and thanks to the Vibram grip, also performed really well on steep climbs/descents. Felt light and fast. Will be using often!

Used those same color and everything on my recent vermont ling trail thru hike. 274 miles, hokas were completely destroyed. Sole coming off on heel and toe, and in some areas tread completely flattened. Both pinky toes developed holes to where they would stick out. And the top fabric separated from the bottom of the shoe in the middle of both shoes, destroyed.
