I can’t believe it I’ve finally found this channel again I stopped playing 7 years ago from playing for 10 years consistently but now I’m getting back into guitar I searched for almost a year but could not find this channel finally this video popped up on my feed 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Hey Scott ...I wanted to take the time to express my thanks for sharing your unrelenting spirit and passion. You Sir are consistently winning the award for "most down to earth" and the epitome of the light of the soul shinning through with determination and character which leave worlds a better place. If I had children I would encourage them to watch your vids not just for guitar edumacation but more for how to live and be yourself, Sisyphus style! You're the kind of friend everyone needs. For this let me share two lil random nuggets from my collection: #1. The group that did the supporting theme song for Lily Amiripour's 2016 (highly occulted) masterpiece"The Bad Batch" as well as for Jim Carrey's character role in the same film.. I dont want to say the groups name so that by way of the honor system you'll pull on the threads and try to figure out which band and song it is ..Trust me you'll see ;) #2. A little bonus track, the solo in the intro song "The Rainbow" by Talk Talk ..The whole song is built around and sets up the solo ...its the first song from the Spirit Of Eden album! ...its a long song so just wait for it! Criminally underrated group and solo ..I would put them right up there with Prine's simple but extreme depth and Gord Downie's magic wielding bard like presence in the moment.. Speaking of Gord check also check out the tribute song by OLP's front man, Raine Maida its called, appropriately, "Ballad Of A Poet" ... There you go kind sir thanks for all the inspiration and above all "The Tone Wood Truth!" lol (first vid i I ever watched of yours years ago) ..epic in its own right! So that you know I'm not full of bs thank you for the tip on the blue flame Tele I bought in 2016/17 a hell of a guitar .. and I got a two for one! ;) Cheers! "these are the things we find in the shadows making their own light" "Fill your mind with wonder and there will be less room for fear"
I bought the hard drive with all your lessons years ago. I still refer to them. Always wanted a part 2 for the pedal steel. Glad to see you are still kickin
The great Scott Grove! I left the guitar some time ago and have great memories learning from you and being involved in the tonewood debate! Making a comeback to guitar again and I might just comeback to learn some forgotten lessons! Cheers and hope everything is good!
Mercy, you are talking about the good old days! I hope you come back to the dark side of guitar pickin'. All good on this end, hoping the same for you. STAY GROOVY!
@@groovydjs For sure! It felt like a sort of war and I was just watching Duncan videos and seeing if my comments were still there but couldn't find them! I saw some of yours and decided to check out how you doing and I'm very pleased to hear everything is well! Being armed with the knowledge you helped to spread, I don't have to worry about expensive guitar makers and will be doing a project of sorts looking for good deals! All I wanted back in the day I had an Epiphone Les paul was the real deal (Gibson) and it all changed with your channel. Lots of cool and cheaper effects on computer this days to not break the bank! Stay Groovy my man! You are the G!
Hey Scott, I learned of you way back on a video you did about electric guitar tone (cough) wood. That was the beginning of my axe education about 5 years ago. Thank you, Sir. I wish you well !
Scott how about going over scales using two strings note and third, note and fifth. double stop scales, so we can play melodies with more than just one note..
The Master strikes again. Groovy Rules. Thank you.
much appreciated dr. groovy...
