I was able to capture this card in the wild @ msrp, That itself was a miracle. This particular card from Zotac has outstanding performance out of the box and has a more than adequate dual fan cooling solution that does wonders for thermals to be as low as possible with 98% load during benchmarking or gameplay. This smaller footprint will make this card a breeze to install in any case. Card runs stable and cool allowing you to play any AAA+ title on ultra settings Very impressed with its over all performance , cooling and aesthetics . Yes it has ARGB on the face and the back plate as well. Wait you just said backplate? Why yes indeed it does have one heck of a back plate, pretty sturdy imo. In addition to the sturdiness of the back plate and fancy lighting, it is slotted at the tail for air pass thru - perhaps following the design of the Nvidia 3070 founders edition. The card comes with a impressive moderate OC directly from Zotac, but with a aggressive manual overclock - was able to add 1000 mhz to ram Frequency(samsung Ram chips) , and 132 mhz to gpu clocks - ran stable using benchmarking tools and stable playing games with out any voltage adjustments - was able to Rank # 252 globally using high settings running super position benchmark , pretty impressive. Thanks for review, it influenced my purchase of this card.

Zotac has been raising prices before the tariff exclusions. The tariffs are just another reason for Zotac to take advantage of the situation. Notice how Zotac raised the price from $700 to $730 for the 3070 AMP HOLO. It's mainly greed + tariffs. The 3070 AMP HOLO performs worse in every aspect except size vs. the top of the line -> Gigabyte 3070 Aorus Master ($650), EVGA 3070 FTW3 Ultra ($680), and ASUS 3070 Strix ($700). Yet it is priced higher than all three... Again it's Zotac greed. Anyways it's good to see somebody reviewed this card since I was curious about the thermals.
I see a very promising auction for this card used and I think this video made it the 3070 I'm gonna go for, I am coming from a very high quality but large 3-fan Asus ROG strix 1070ti GPU and I really want a nice two fan card whilst still getting comparable acoustics and thermals (to avoid sag). I didn't think it was possible, but this proved me wrong! I hope I get a good deal on this card specifically!
Great review. I have this card as well. It's almost perfect if we lived in a world where 3070 MSRP is $500. This card would have been worth $100 premium at best over FE due to lower heat/noise and aesthetics, but boy, it's $729.99 MSRP now.

The 8pin power sockets are in the wrong place! No case has a hole to accommodate the cables. It's a bit frustrating. Apart from that I can't complain about the card.
I got this card yesterday and holy moly this thing is loud compared to my 1070. I am so dissapointed. Specially when this thing goes over 70% GPU usage the fans going crazy. I can absolutly not understand how this correlates to the chart in the video. I mean i can't even play AC: Valhalla with HEADPHONES on, because the Fan's are so loud. I don't get it.
@@FuriizaX Yes, the default fan profile was WAY OFF, way overtuned. I ditched the crap Software from Zotac (forgot what its called allready.. lol) and installed MSI Afterburner and made a proper Fan profile there. Little downside is that i have to run MSI Afterburner all time in the background (not that resource hungry though), but IT WORKS now.

@@FuriizaX I think so, have not checked for a while. But you really need good airflow in your case (like in general but specially here where you have only 2 fans they have a lot of intake). In hot summer times like this it can be a problem if you don't take care of that. I strongly suggest you have a case fan at the bottom of your case blowing fresh air right to the GPU Fans.

just got Zotac amp Holo Rtx 3070 the day before, but this card makes a noise like vibrating at high rpm. I think it is caused by a gap, because I use my finger to push the card to make the gap close, noise disappeared. How to solve this problem? I got £65 more for my EVGA 1070 than I should have got. It makes up for the higher prices.
