Philippians 4 resonates with me because when I feel no happiness I still have joy of the Lord. Through dark times, through the tears I thank Him for joy. The Embrace by Chris Hopkins is a painting that helps me visualize Jesus holding me with such compassion. Having survived years of abuse and degradation at the hands of my earthly father it was hard for me to comprehend the love of my Heavenly Father. Prayers for you. Thank God that he loves us so much that he provides strength to carry us through even when we don't feel his presence. He is still present. Always present. Love to you precious brother.

I am so kissed off with God I love Him but sometimes I feel like I hate Him too. Five years ago my husband had three strokes. Life is still hard and I’m angry that essentially I lost my husband. I don’t know if God is good sometimes. I’m heartbroken
