I always love the trope of the “big guy who looks like he can and will end you” is actually the nicest guy around.
More like “a big guy looks like want to kill you, is a cinnamon roll” and koleda is “looks like a cinnamon roll, would actually kill you”
I'm obsessed with these two. Their mannerisms are different but not too exaggerated.
I love how you can tell in the beginning how Belle is genuinely surprised by Anton's movements, and then is not amused. Meanwhile Wise looks on amused with a shake of his head, clearly used to it from Belle.

It helps that anton is voiced by alejandro saab who is known for doing cyno (genshin impact), leon (pokemon anime) and is a vtuber going by the name cyyu.
one of my favourite details is how close belle holds her hands to herself compared to wise. having the two side by side, you really get a feel for belle's erratic nerves compared to wise's stoic confidence.

I usually pick the female MC, but I liked Wise’s chill vibe just a little bit more than Belle this time around. The agents you meet are out there in terms of personality, so he sort of becomes the straight man to their crazy, which I like a lot.
Exactly why I picked him. Playing as a straight man to even characters like Zhu Yuan and Ben is just too fun.

why is there a shading diffrent for Belle and Wise? for bella the shading is softer and for wise its harsher. its really noticeable in the character designs.
I think the noticeable difference was due to my lighting settings being low as hell in previous CBT
It's not harsh for wise, it's more of vibrant, maybe because mihoyo will think boys prefer vibrant colors and girls having the asthetic type.

Usually I go with male main characters but I'm glad I went with the female this time. She seems more expressive and fun and I'm tired of being the cool protagonist. Still, you can tell they're cut from the same cloth.
I agree, not throwing any shade towards Wise since I think his character is more nuanced than people make him out to be but the animators went above and beyond with animating Belle whereas Wise is a lot more stoic in comparison. I also think Belle's personality suits Eous more, though I do find the personality contrast with Wise as Eous to be pretty enjoyable too.
Actually, choosing Belle as MC is more makes sense. While Belle (the player) exploring around and sometimes just playing VR all-day at HIA club, Wise is the one that handle boring home task & complex business stuff, taking role as the matured nurturing figure for Belle.

I love the fact that they both are seperate persons. It doesn’t matter who you choose, you can see both of them. Star Rail should do something like this in the first place, then there won’t be an argument who is canon and who is not.

Another one? Wise one is from previous Cbt and I believe my quality settings were lower compared to current one also cbt and release has no changes in dialogue.
This has become my new favorite way of seeing some of these cutscenes. I chose Wise and love seeing the differences between the two!

it does, but it's in the background. If you go frame by frame from 0:45, you see that Anton let's go of the machine in order to catch her though the actual catch get's covered up by a leg.

Wise and Stelle feel like MCs, Belle's brother and Stelle's "counterpart" lack their charisma. Maybe it's my thing, I always chose a female MC in all games where it's possible.

If you meant the shading/colors, wise is from CBT and belle is the released version. They changed the lighting in the final game.

The reason I picked Wise was because he looked professional, and almost all-knowingly confident (almost omniscient). While it might make my experience stale, so far I enjoyed his stoic behaviour.

Jeez wise is so stationary. I play as belle and she's always moving and leaning and wiggling every which way. Wise is just kinda standing there. Which honestly plays right into his character, so this isn't actually a complaint, just a realization.
