Not everyone falls for it anymore because the player names in the chat are always not white.The only white Chat name is the System and the System only. Edit:You can use /me in MM2 but the text font of the system when it says something is different from the /me text font. Edit 2: if you have display name system in a game with teams it won't work :/
You know an even smarter tactic? Make enough hashtags that it fills up a whole line of the chat, then say [Server]: Game will be shutting down in 30 seconds. Because of the hashtags, it will be on another line, so it will look like an actual message with no user chat colour.
Remember to put your name in first along with the [ ]: too to account for your name taking up some of the line. Once you're done with the tags after that, delete your name and THEN put whatever you want to look like a server message. Otherwise the fake server message will have a bunch of hashtags in front
