Here in Cherry county Nebraska, it was just learned that a yong man of our new Amish community is learning to be a rancher! It is a wow reality because his new place is at a bestest horse ranch within the Sandhills.
Note that this Amish farmer is applying the modern no-till method by planting his corn in a harvested field of ,I suppose, wheat, which also shows strips of grass for erosion control. So, using equine power is not old-fashioned at all, but compatible with modern agriculture.
