I wont buy those chairs. Those for dumbos. What i need though the handle you put your hands on longer. Because i use 36x24inch white alumnium board so i can move away from table with monitor so i am not close to monitor. I make letters big and keep away 3-4 feet from monitor. Too close to monitor hurt eyes. So basically they need to supply extra handle with longer flat bar to hole these.
So i can write anything on board to do take notes or just use it as keyboard and mouse holder (wireless) . Another thing i need is Side attachment with coffee or drink holder that you can pull out from underneath , Also food plate holder. As i eat as i am watching and once finished i want to put in in a tray underneath or some carry garbage bin that i can put it there.
So basically i need dinner table in a chair. What about music? May be subwoofer in the back.

This is probably common knowledge in the office furniture sub-Reddit, but there is a pretty big aftermarket for refurbished Aeron chairs. I bought one for my wife and it seems like new but for only half the price. Also, if people didn't know, you might be able to get your health insurance to foot part of the bill for a chair

I gave up on expensive chairs years ago. Now I sit on an old folding lawn chair with two memory foam pads I can move around and an infrared heating pad attached to the back. It's my only chair so I sit in it all the time when home.

This is a quality review. I've sat in a lot of Miller chairs and they're Ok. They last about 3 years then start to squeak (I'm 183cm and 98Kg)
I've been looking at the Flexispot range so this vid helped.
    Cheers

I've had my HM for over 15 years of "heavy" use and when the hydraulics started to go and the skin started to look manky, they sent a guy to my house (it dit require an appointment with a nominal wait) and not only did they fix the hydraulics, but they reskinned it in the color of my choice and replaced the arm pads, giving me virtually a new chair.

I'd love to get one of those Aeron chairs. I have spine issues that make it hard to sit for long periods. But, the Aeron is not in my budge. So, I think my solution will be a standing desk instead. Thanks for the review! Have a great day!

  • @alancrome3684
    @alancrome3684 Рік тому +1

To preface this, I was sent the chair for free because the desk I bought which has anti collsion ended up not working and slightly breaking the arm rest on my chair. I thought the desk was broken, so I contacted support and they had me run some tests, as well as without hesitation offered to send me a free chair of my choosing lol, so I chose this one. Very responsive customer service for me.
This is just me but if I am seriously considering an office chair and spending $370 for this exact configuration, if I am sitting in it every day for hours on end and already spending that much, i'd much rather find a used herman miller or steelcase for $500 or less(Which is surprisingly very doable, tons of small startups going down and selling off their office stuff) than settle for saving a $140 considering how long you would be keeping either of these chairs, that extra $100 or $200, based on how the flexispot chair feels, the aeron's will last twice as long for only a little bit more. I'd say either get a lower tier model from flexispot if you really want to go with the brand, but save that extra bit of cash and spring for that aeron/steelcase, it will be worth it...
If you are a gamer and don't want constant highly pronounced lumber support hitting you in the back, or have a shorter spine(I do think this chair will be more comfortable to those who have longer spines), or just hate very pronounced lumber then you will hate this chair, DO NOT GET IT lol I wouldn't even "Try it to see if you will like it or get used to it" lool
The mesh is comfy and has some give (I am 5'9, 200lb). I will say I wish I was half an inch taller; my feet only just feel like they aren't planted fully. So, if you are looking for a shorter chair, I'd say go with something else or look at different casters. The foam seat option seems like it may be a tiny bit shorter.
After owning a secret lab titan and being just a wee bit too short for that, this is definitely way more comfortable besides the lumber! But quality wise this chair is ok. The actual seat itself feels solid, cheapish feeling plastics but super solid. Where it lacks in quality is adjustment sticks and how smooth the adjustments are to unlock/lock and move around. Secrect lab's sticks feel super solid, and its mechanisms just feels great to use, whereas the c7 just feels cheap. solid 6-7 out 10 depending on your lumbar preference and it's honestly got a lot of adjustment for the price..

At 4:30 Ya those arm rests are a common problem. They should move sequencially with the backrest recliner. If they don't you end up with no arm rests. An avid "Gamer" at my workplace [IT-Dept] sold me one of his chairs [1300$ new] for 400 bucks when I saw the Mechanical synchronization of the arm rests and the 3 dimensional adjustments for it I new it was a serious chair. You probably wouldn't like the Posterpedic over stuffed seat , lumbar and head rest but I love it. The only con: Keeping myself from falling asleep in the damn thing. That chair is going to be the bane of my getting fired !! Full Gravity flat recline 🙂

I had Aeron for couple of years. First 30min on it is always a "wow" but long term for me it was a huuuge pain cause of the padding you mentioned. After like 3-5h on it my legs were numb. No blood circulation. Just a horrible chair for me. Had it so long cause it was expensive. Now I bought a sh*t chair for 70 bucks and it's much more comfy.. Imagine that....
Although now when you mention about the size. I had size B and I'm 1.83m so maybe size C would be right for me...

The best set is a stand up desk with a chair that goes high. This gives you the benefits of standing or sitting. I lifted my desk using 8" bed risers for 11$. Then I bought an adjustable tall rising desk chair, standing here and there is great for the back, spine, gut health, etc.

The Steelcase Leap V2 was the right one for me. You really get a lot out of these chairs. It seems stupid, but even though I got mine half off. If I had to pay full price for another one I would. These high end office chairs are worth it. As long as it's the one that can fit you. Or at least well enough that it doesn't cause any issues.

I used an Aeron all throughout collage. 4 years sitting in that chair day and night to get my degree. the first thing to go are the arms. they give you a 10 YEAR warranty.... so, I rang them up and they sent me 2x brand new arms. I kept them in the packaging.... still abusing the original arms... after i graduated... i cleaned up the chair, attached the new arms and it looked God damn spanking new!! I sold it for the same price i originally bought it for. .... I had a free chair for 4 years! the best chair money can buy. and yes, it was a size B.

Oh, also the part that pushes on the back of your legs (well, it shouldn't) is also rounded and comfier.
