Thanks. I tried getting into the game like 5 times and never lasted passed the 1st area. Your guide encouraged me to give it another shot. Subscribed :)

@@pentagram4872 Yeah I just saw there is one. I'll def check it out later. I love the atmosphere and sense of exploration, but really want to feel more confident as I move around the world, so your content may help a lot. Keep going!
@@cl-vision5029 well i just posted the end of my main playthrough that i did on stream ;) i have also started a few others off camera to test new builds and stuff. Keep fighting adventurer eventually you will overcome everything man!!! good luck!
An in-depth weapon guide series might be a pretty good idea, there's not much content out there for it besides just going over some pretty strong artifacts. That doesn't really tell them how to use it though. Maybe could go over the general combat loop for the weapon as well as talk a little about the respective weapon skills from both the trainers and Gladiator arena , then wrap up with a couple example builds. Anyways, enjoying the vids keep it up my friend!
I could probably make one for some weapons but not all : i have not mastered the knuckles, and the axes so i would need some more playtime. But yes would be interesting. I am already considering it.
I had this guide recommended to me and gave it a go. Like every other time I've tried the melee I got eviscerated by trogs and bandits. Outward is a masterpiece but its melee combat is a crime against humanity. Just use a bow, magic or guns. Melee weapons are for selling in this game.
I am sad to see this. I really try to be as helpful as possible. If you are still struggling you look at the individual weapon guides that cover most of thw weapon types. Keep in mind that even with this guide outward's melee combat is not easy and seeing this video is not instant kill.
Subbed. The game is infuriating but I'm very much in loved with it. Thanks for these videos that makes me love the game better. I hope for a progression guide since it's quite hard to have an idea of what you want to be but extremely hard how to get there.

Trading is definitely an option but its far from necessary especially when you start to know ennemy patters, master the use of impact or use a shield. It gest harder against fast ennemies but they are mkst of the time easy to kill.
Once you clear the enemies on the map, the game is pretty much dead and deserted. Fun at 1st but it gets boring very fast, most enemies have the same EXACT combat mechanic. Wish it didn't appeal to low skill players and had a more challenging difficulty slider.
Yes and no, ennemies respawn after 7 days out of any location. Outward is not fundamentaly hard game that is true, i mean you can reach 100% resistance to an element without much investment, you can brat outward with an excel sheet. Outward is an exploration game not a combat rpg That being said i still think there is more than enough challenging content. The caldera region and the secret unknown arena bosses offer a good enough challenge even for experienced players.
@@Tigerjunky93 well technically you can, but you d have to clear the the map multiple times to deplete the enemy pool and this pool will refill after 7 days out of the map.
I tried liking the game, I loved the hardcore approach and how it truly feels you’re in a journey, but the combat just plain sucks compared to other games. It’s just clunky, floaty and doesn’t feel like you’re connecting with the enemies. Maybe I’m just spoiled by the great combat of the Souls series, but this didn’t do it for me.
That is understandable but a comparison with the souls series i completely unfair. Souls combat is smooth and polished while outwards combat is deeper and demands more anticipation and preparation. Some people like it, some do not and it is fine.
This was my second fastest refunded game because the combat sucked so much ass. So I am here if I missed something. Edit: Nah. Refund was a right thing as soon as you showed hitting that tall chick in 0:23
Having played both i can say a few things about this. The only thing valheim's combat has over outward's is fluidity. Valheim is an incredible game and is just generally fluid. However its combats is pretty simplistic though very enjoyable. It is mostly perfect parries and counter attacks that can make it feel almost like turned base sometimes. There is also an almost absence of build possibilities. Outward on the other hand clearly lacks some fluidity and can feel a bit clunky at times. The existence of skills and the great gear diversity allows for way more liberty and creativity when it comes to combat. I just want to point out how different the games are. Comparing them is not that much interesting. I think?
@@pentagram4872 not that I don't like it, the overall game is mediocre by design. Just look at the assets alone. You can blaze through the whole game by going 5 guns, sigil and a speed set while the clunky melee is a joke. But then again... its a french indie company so one can't expect much.
@@ReeYuuJee the combat has far more depths than the "clunky" some people use to describe it. And if you do not like the idea of 5 guns/sigil stacking/infinite stamina speed, then you are missing something about the game's design philosophy. It is true that on a technical standpoint the game has some rough features and i was the first to point it out (though it seems they have changed few things in the DE as melee is more fluid now, they might have reduced the time you get locked in animations and there are less double hits than before), but the cheezy nature of the game is what makes it enjoyable for most of the people who actually like this game ;).
