Just had a debate with my uncle a couple weeks ago about which is better between the original and the remix. I prefer the original more because P went bonkers on that second verse.
Mobb Deep and M.O.P...used to stir ship up when clubs played those song to the point a few clubs would only play certain songs from the or none at all...lol
Yeah this one is way better than the remix. Havoc's dark beats like this are somethin else man. They both legends. Havoc put you right into the situation and how serious it's supposed to be and Prodigy conveys the rest lyrically. When I was a teenager around 14 I found them when I was starting to listen to hip hop from the very beginning and study everything in between. I really was addicted to em lol. Mobb Deep is one of the best groups ever, period. Right up there with Outkast for real
Infamous (The Infamous Mobb) 1st Infantry (Mobb Deep) 1st Division (Rapper P Front Line, Havoc 2nd) 4th mission (Album number 4) 1 Assignment (First Single) Just So uk ....🔥 Reaction Young 🤴🏿
One of my favorite songs of all time. “My new addition way bitchin , those that listen get addicted to my diction f rhymes I write prescriptions” prodigy went nuts on this track!
Bro I'm from NYC and when this song came on in the clubs it was Pandemonium 📠 brawl's would break out like rashes 📠 when the remix came about Bitches started putting in they work as well 😅📠
That line where Prodigy say “you tryna stop mines from growing I make ya blood stop flowing” was a jab at Pac. On hit em up at the end Pac says “my 44 make sure all your kids wont grow” meaning he was willing to kill his enemies kids. I guess this was P’s way at getting back at him for saying disrespectful shit. Pac was able to talk about Big’s wife and Prodigy’s illness. If that was any other rapper ppl would crucify them but since it was 2pac his fans treat him like he was Jesus and he could do no wrong🙄. I’m so glad Prodigy didn’t give af and put that bar in the song anyway. 👏🏾
Tupac is definitely worshipped and i understand why 100% Pac is the most Gangsta human being that ever existed Nobody ever did it like him idgaf people need to stop bringing up other rappers whenever Pac gets brung up as the hardest to ever rap. Dont get it twisted tho, I listen to Mobb Deep way more than Pac. I lovem both, but I like Mobb Deep's music a tiny pinch more than Pac.
@@Clouds12012It's about even for me. Pac's energy is unmatched but Mobb's music (the production) moves me more. I'd say the same for rappers like UGK, Ghost and Redman.
The Scarface movie background music sample is incredible. Havoc is soooooooo underrated as a producer since most of his production credit is solely for the M O B B
You gotta listen to they homeboys, infamous mobb. The album is called blood thicker than water. They got P whole rap style and a little bit more rugged. Plus this track was the opening to the movie "In too Deep" with omar epps and LL cool j. S**t was hard as hell!!!
Classic! You definitely gotta check out the album Murda Muzik, there’s some bangers on there. Also check out None of Y’all Betta by Jadakiss, you won’t be disappointed
I don’t think Mobb Deep would ever be caught dead wearing Mink coats?!?! These are the “fuck looking cute I’m strictly timb boots and army certified suits” dudes.

I think the other version was about her. It’s not a comparison but a remix imo. I personally think it’s some of her best work but the guys stepped back to let her shine. Gentlemen and both versions are great imo just different vibes.
We heard MOB DEEP in clubs but we were smarter than this generation so it didn't make us fight really. But when we were going to hurt someone MOB DEEP was our facebanging music... lol 👊🏾
Definitely top-tier straight run of albums but in my opinion Nas is unmatched from the beginning: - Illmatic - It Was Written - I Am… - Nastradamus - Stillmatic - The Lost Tapes - God’s Son
This was ill, one of my favs! I saw Havoc on stage performing Mobb's classics. I dropped one,it looks sad seeing one without the other. I miss Prodigy 😎
This album is a classic, hard to think of a better 3 album run than The Infamous, Hell on Earth and Murda Muzik
Not better but just as good… “It’s Dark and Hell is Hot”, “Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood”, and “And Then There Was X”💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥
ATCQ can definitely compete with The Low End Theory, Midnight Marauders and Beats Rhymes & Life
Gangstar... Daily Operation, Hard To Earn, Moment Of Truth.......
^^^ ATCQ , Gangstarr, OutKast , De la, King’s Disease…. there’s a few dope trilogies . Mobb up there tho
SSLP...MMLP...TES
Mobb Deep will forever represent that New York sound.
Nas, Mobb Deep and Wu-Tang Clan (in my opinion) are the epitome of NYC grittiness.

R.I.P. Prodigy. One of the Greatest to ever do this Rap Shit 🔥💪🏾🔥
Lies but he was nice as 🤬
@verticalintegration5222 it's no lie when he's arguably the most sampled emcee hands down.
Havoc was a beast ,very underrated in history.
Dang bro you're blessed to have just heard this for the first time. Must be so fun discovering all this great music.
This song was originally supposed to be on HNIC.
Yep! It was supposed to be the first single! Would’ve been crazy to hear this and Keep It Thoro as the first 2 singles! 🤯
This is one of the hardest joints ever. P was different. I'm forever a MOBB & P fan.
WHOLE ALBUM IS RIDICULOUS!🔥🔥🔥Great reaction
Havoc is one of the most underrated producer/ rappers!!
Classic album... waiting for the album review
Was always fun playing Mobb Deep in the ride and everyone just stopped talking to listen.
Prodigy will always be that dude
