AVOID THESE COMMON MATH MISTAKES!

Kittens around the world are at risk of extinction because students are making the same silly math mistakes over and over. In this video I point out these mistakes and correct them. I mean you can cancel out terms as long as the additions are factored or separated

3:19 I'll say it again, THE ERROR is NOT DOING THAT, YOU CAN DO THAT, but you have to remember that √x^2 is x IF x is positive, but if x is NEGATIVE, √x^2 = -x. So, ,in general, √x^2 = |x|. So, if you want to find ALL the solutions (including the negative one) you have to do the following:
x^2 = 16
√x^2 = √16
|x| = 16
x = ±4

I took a couple of algebra classes. Then I became an algebra tutor. Then I realized I wanted to learn more math, so I enrolled in Precalculus. Then I changed my major and never looked back! lol
